That's cute you hook on the link and it ask ya to register........ how about placing it here..........

No way, Dan.........that defeats the purpose. We are trying to add value to the pwna board.........

Dan, Ina nut shell, you need to seperate out your fuel. There isno road tax on fuel used to run your pressure washers. This includes gas and diesel. That means, if you use different credit cards, and keep track of the actual gallons, (Not Dollars) spent on your fuel, you can get a rebate bask on your income taxes. It is as if you were buying red dye diesel , and gas for your pressure washer. You need to remember that Michael has at least 6 or 7 rigs running, and probably more. So that means that he will get more back. For me it is worth about $2000 a year, minimum.

Still, thats a nice chunk of change! Do you find you spend alot of time monitoring and administrating this?

I'll take a $2,000 rebate / refund any day of the week - month- or year!

Thanks Mike for pointing it out!

In my state you can buy it right at the pump with out the Tax. Most farmers buy gas & diesel because there equipment is not licensed. Basically no state or federal road taxes.

Really it’s that simple….check with your state and get a permit to buy it with out tax, my state has special fueling stations. I get the fuel delivered to my phoenix shop with out the Tax. The diesel is colored don’t get caught putting this in your car. Big fines and you will loose your privileges. We had some dairy farmer here get busted a few years back. They almost went to prison.

a post that has more info

I just track the fuel I purchase, with receipts. I then complie it at the end of the year, and turn it over to my accountant. It usually takes me a couple of hours a year.

You could both be right, there are two different types of non-taxed diesel fuel. The one that Dave is using has no road taxes because he is not driving his pressure washer down the freeway. The other is a special agricultural fuel that is even taxed less or has no tax at all.

Fuel tax #1

Agricultural fuel- only farmers can use this fuel. Some special agricultural bill passed long ago. Your not even supposed to be able to get this fuel price if you don’t show and exception card. The fueling places could be in more trouble if caught than the actual person using the fuel.

Fuel tax # 2

Diesel with no road taxes. Anyone who is not using it in and automobile can use this fuel. In my state there is no special permit they just trust you on your own merit.

Yes, they both have red dye and maybe the exact same fuel just depends on what portion of the taxes you pay.

Yes I think everyone is using the #2 program and its perfectly legal and some are just cornfused. Yes cornfused not confused.

Important Reminder: Many who have access to and use these fuels often become greedy and use them in "On Road" vehicles. Be aware, if you are caught doing so the fines are excessive. Make sure you know the guidelines of proper use and the penalty for failure to follow these guidelines correctly.
