Grafitti on playground equipment question

I got a call from a HOA lady and she asked if I could clean grafitti off of playground equipment. The equipment is mainly plastic and she said she thinks the grafitti is perminate marker or black spray paint.. Just wondering if a little elbow grease and a good rough sponge or somthing would do the trick.. Or could I use chemicals that I already have with in this industry, SH so on and so forth or would it damage the plastic? Also could we use the bleach in a low low low concentrate to disinfect a playground? Or would it comprimise the plastic equipment?

You need some sensitive surface remover from worlds best.

If you need it right away, and are not concerned with the environmental aspects, for marker, carburetor cleaner does a great job in a pinch. If you have the luxury of waiting though, Sensitive Surface is absolutely as good as they come for that type of thing.

Guess I should have just called you Doug instead of wasting forum space.. lol

What about a product for disinfecting a large area such as a playground?

Thanks, Jason

House mix.

And I have some of the sensitive surface remover if its a small job and u need to get by till you order some

I take care of a playground named after my daughter " Maeve 's Dreamland " a boundless playground. I also take care of a few school districts for the last fifteen years. Cleaned many high profile tags ( in the news)

Many different materials to deal with in a play ground .Wood , coated metal , plastic, degraded plastic, rubber and the walking surface.

To get into graffiti removal you need to know surfaces and materials . What chem's work on what type of materials. You need to carry a few different type chemicals and solvents.

Be prepared !

I did a major job ( major) . That everyone failed at removing on a school. Composite material below every window tagged. Ammonia cleaned it in a second . Nothing else worked! I carry a milk carton of solvents and graffit chem's to all jobs.

I know here Glidden (I think it's Glidden) paint stores carry Sensitive Surface and Bare Brick. Sign up for a cash or credit account with them and you'll get a discount.

I've always been curious if it'd be alright to use lacquer thinner on certain jobs. Since spray paint is a 1k instead of 2k (1 part vs two part) meaning it has no activator in it. I've used it on plenty of paint, car paint, rattle can, primer......takes it right off especially spray cans!
