PWNA - Who authorized this?

I guess what I am trying to say is if you have a drug dealer living in your house and you know it and don't get them out, you are just as guilty as they are when the police storm your house.

The PWNA was notified of what was done and they chose to keep Robert and Jim in the house.

I wonder if anyone in the pwna knows what was done, is probably still happening and the end results in some of their work areas? I am sure most would not appreciate what was happening to them behind their backs and would quit that org fast!

Of course they don't Chris, that's one of the biggest reasons they don't have a BBS anymore, communication. And you're absolutely right!

All anyone needs to do is connect the dots....it's a tangled web for sure.

Ex Director peaking over fences (Ron), not shopping BMP's, taking credit for defusing Houston issue, facilitec, Phil Ackland school, only distributor directly linked to them, took their show to AZ and threatened a change to bus stop contract (Scott), took their show to NV contacting regulators (Tony) now talking about the next one in Houston (Doug). Environmental Director offering consultation to AHJ's for stricter regulation, constant posting links trying to connect our Industry to major source of pollution.....and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Tony, ever wonder why they went to Vegas? Check timeline on sat pictures you posted in a thread about a Texas business....payback?

But hey what do I know, I'm just a dumb ole Country Boy.

This is way beyond Orgs. Tony E. You would think that Industry media would have picked up on this and investigated it...wonder why not? Check sponsorship in said media outlet(s). You don't investigate people that put money in your pocket, plus it's too much work.
I assume this comment is directed at least in part at me. I have been asked to write so many articles investigating organizations/companies/individuals on a variety of topics from all sides/groups, etc., and I turn them ALL down. This type of article goes against our mission to provide our industry in positive light. Yes, PWNA is a paying sponsor and we support them. But we also support the UAMCC, PWRA, IWCA, and other independent groups who are working to help contractors learn so they don't undercut their competition and who stay in the industry and support our industry's providers. I provide volunteer assistance to several of these groups, along with a little bit of freelance work (but I charge way less than I would for other clients). All of this is a labor of love out of a heart to better our industry. And yes, it is a LOT of work. I alone am essentially doing the job of what normally takes a full staff, I'm doing it monthly, and I'm doing it while my husband is gone serving our country several months a year and while I -- a stay-at-home mom -- am raising two kids, including one with special needs. If someone else wants to start an investigative publication for our industry, God bless you and best of luck!

Allison I do not think its directed at you or your BOss Paul Horsley, you do a Fine Job writing Eclean. It was Going on way before you came on to the scene, people are lied to about others and Manipulated. I do not see you like that, I believe the past was aimed at CT

The stories in the past there have been complete BS at times.

The Garage Cleaning event Gave the impression PWNA had a larger Presence that it did. How ever if you really Reflect on the Event I Mean Directors attended past Presidents and Chairs.

I know you try to write accurate and with truth...your respected for that and you have alternatives. as you stated others are in the Magazine, if we really research there are More UAMCC member Stories than any other. I have noticed, just the people in the stories have not mentioned the ORG

Allison, keep up the good work. As much as we would like to see this kind of stuff reported on it is understandable why it does not fit into your mission.

A perfect example of why this type of reporting is not appropriate in that type of format is the pathetic story from Thad and Chris in the most recent window cleaning magazine about a now defunct window cleaning org.

It belongs in discussion forums and other communications between industry professionals where the opportunity exists for both sides to make their case.

Guy, I know it is frustrating.

Some of the activities have clearly been illegal, such as holding the private event with local officials present under false pretenses. There may come a time when this must be reported in order to distance the innocent from the guilty. But right now we are still trying to determine how deep this corruption goes. As it stands it looks like the entire PWNA stands behind the illegal activities, but we need to have patience and see if some will step forward and denounce it and take the steps necessary to make sure those who did it never have the opportunity to do it again under the authority of a national org.

The Question lies in who owns the PWNA? Has it always been a for profit Company hiding behind the it was not for profit?

Nothing Exists prior to a certain period of time saying it was a not for profit prior to Everett Abrams As president.

Some will say does it matter? Yes it does

Allison, I totally meant no disrespect to you and I think all will agree that you're one of the "Good Guys". If you took what I said as a slight towards you then I whole heartily apologize, it was not my intent at all. And you certainly have no reason to defend your station in life as a Wife and Mother to me or anyone else. In all truth I never even thought about you & eclean when I wrote that post.

Again My Sincerest Apologies For Any Misunderstanding.

Thank you Guy. I appreciate the apology, but it wasn't necessary. I, too, apologize for automatically jumping on the defense, and even more for throwing in the wife/mom thing. (I felt kind of silly after I wrote it, but I wasn't in the right mood to remove it!) You caught me after a rough night with the kids while Mike happens to be on the road. I appreciate the kind comments from all of you. That wasn't my intent, but I do appreciate it nonetheless. First thing we were taught in my very first journalism class: don't assume because it makes an ass out of u and me. Sorry I assumed!

I'm glad you two Kissed and Made up!!!

My question is do the People in that Doc know they are being used to make stiffer regulations?

That they can be Held Liable for these in accurate look at our industry and the confusion that is Stated in the words or these associations?

Here is one of the email threads sent to Nevada regulators.

After asking the regulators repeatedly to answer the 34 leading questions that make us look like polluters (including a direct reference to my son's youtube page as an example of a polluter) the Nevada regulator responds with the following sending him a link to our simple, easy to follow BMPs:

To Which Robert responds with another barrage of the same questions:

After Which he attaches a complete copy of the PWNA BMPs for them to consider instead (I wont post that here, except for the last page)

REMEMBER: WE WILL NOT SHOP THE BMPS and also note THE USE OF THE UAMCC LOGO with full knowledge he was removed from his position at the UAMCC. Also, notice the UAMCC BOD listed:

My next post will show how the PWNA goes about butchering a good BMP.

As much as I wanted to ignore this statement, I just can't in good conscience. (It literally kept me awake last night because I didn't say something yesterday.) I think it's important to clarify that while Thad and Chris are partners in PWRA, and Thad was one of the first members of WCRA, Thad has no ownership in Chris's window cleaning business, WCR, WCRA and no ownership or involvement in WCBO (the magazine in question). I'm not discounting any other issues you guys may have with one another (I don't know what all they are and don't really want to know), but I did feel this needed to be clarified. I wouldn't want someone who was uninvolved with eClean to be bad mouthed for a decision I made, and the same principle applies here.

If they aren't intertwined how in the world did I get a copy of that magazine sent to my address? I have never cleaned a window, never bought even so much as a squeegee and never gave Chris my contact info.

Ron and I get bundled together for all kinds of accusations. Many times we are in disagreement and neither of us are afraid to publicly state our own opposing stance.

I appreciate the clarification Allison, but Thad can speak for himself as I and Ron have had to do on many occasions

Thad and Chris have nothing to do with the PWNA fiasco in question.

I was simply giving an example of how reporting on such things in industry publications puts us all in a bad light.

I don't want to harp too much on this because it IS off topic. I just want to add that the comment about Thad was started in response to MY comment on this thread, so I felt compelled to respond. I realize he and Chris can speak up for themselves, but it was bothering ME, so I spoke up. No one asked me to do so. If I see that you or Ron or anyone else is being misrepresented -- especially if it's something that is triggered from something I've said -- I will come to your defense publically as well, just as I've defended you and Ron (and many others) in private conversations on multiple occasions when false statements were made.
