Weather is perfect again for long tracking damaging tornados

This was the sky above my house when the tornado was in El Reno. Keep in mind that El Reno is 30+ miles to the NW of where we live. This is what the sky looks like when the atmosphere is unstable and all hell is about to break loose!

At this point the storm is moving into the west side of the metro. We were around 11 miles southeast of the storm. At this point is when it started to get bad for us. The storm was moving do east when it took a hard right turn and headed due south right for us.

The last picture is when we were trying to get out of the path. Notice all the cars on the road. It was rush hour and everyone was headed south to get away from it. The news was telling everyone to head south, but little did we know it was going to turn when it did. At one point north/south bound all 4 lanes were headed south. You will be able to see that when I get video up loaded.

Ok here is the video, please forgive us on it being side ways but that was the last thing on our mind. Also I'm a man that is not affraid to pray and to pray out loud. I was trying to remain as calm as I could but I'm sure you can sense the fear under the calmness. Ok who am I kidding I can say today was one if not the scariest days of our life. As we were sitting in the parking lot and I was talking to the people that was going into the church notice the wind pick up and the sirens started to go off again. Then the video goes black. You can here me telling my wife lets go. The reason for the panic the storm dropped another tornado 4 blocks to the SW of where we were.

Scary stuff on the vid Bryan but I'm glad ya'll are safe!

The 5th cloud pic is spooky and cool at the same time! I've see that cloud before during a hurricane I believe it's called a Mammatus cloud Spoooky......

Stay safe Bryan I hope the front gets outs of town and moves out the region.

Glad you guys are ok.

Bryan you have put an entirely new face on tragedies like this. Knowing both of you guys so well and hearing your voices on that video brought on an overwhelming emotion that was impossible to contain.

It's not that hard to face the possibility of death when you are alone with the kind of faith we have. But we, as men have a responsibility for our wives and children that can do nothing but strike fear deep within us when we are faced with dangers like this.

You are a good man Bryan and Shelly and I love you guys very much. Thank God for his mercy and providence for keeping you guys safe!

Well said, Tony. Bryan, I'm so glad you and your family escaped this. That was a close call. Your video literally brought tears to my eyes.. We've been in similar situations when I lived in Wisconsin. Tornados can be terrifying and I'm glad you made it out. God Bless you Buddy and nice driving.

Tony thank you for the kind words. I agree with you totally when being alone and with family. Something kicks in and you go with the flow and try to remain as calm as you can, but Im sure you could hear the fear in my voice. I was on a mission of survival and I wasn't going to wait for a green light like the others. You gotta do what you gotta do! I am proud to live in a country where I can pray when I want and as loud as I want. I know he was there watching over us. And if it was our time to go I know where we would be. We love each and everyone of you like our own family, because in reality all of you are our family. Thanks for all the prayers he answered!!!!! Craig I know what you mean. I watched it again this morning and tears ran down my cheeks. It was a close call

Bryan I have to say that your video almost made me cry when you started praying. We dont even know each other but I understand completely what you guys were going through. I grew up 30 minutes north of OKC in Guthrie and know all too well about the fear and excitement that comes with that kind of weather. Not to mention that we were the next stop for that same storm here in NW Arkansas. Fortunately, it died down a little and just skimmed us by a few miles to the south. I will say that is sure nice to hear when others share the same beliefs as myself and arent afraid to call out to the Lord. Glad you guys are ok and praying for the rest of your area.
