Cleaning Canvas Awnings?

Have to put in a bid today to wash this. So how should I do it? Liquid laundry detergent with color safe bleach? Maybe some kind of detergent that contains oxy clean? How much should I mix with water to DS?

You can always Do it the Fast way, House Mix works but the Awning will have Damage in Future. Brushing is what Everyones afraid of , truthfully Most Awning Have to be brushed. Soft Horse Hair is the Best with different Lengths on the Brush. The Reason for Different Lengths is it gets in the Cracks and helps in these Oval Surfaces. Plus the Awning material Gives.

Thanks, Ron. I bid $150, so I wasn't too far off. I don't want to do it the easy way now. I want to do it the right way. How exactly can I protect it from future damage?

Downstreamed it with house wash mix and scrubbed with a soft bristle brush, and it didn't seem to faze to black mold. Guess I'll let it dry and come back later and try a stronger mix.

Anyone have the magic formula? I cleaned some black canvas awnings on a night job last night.... Went back today and they looked horrible.... All streaky. I down streamed a mix of laundry detergent and sodium percarbonate (oxy clean), used no bleach, brushed with with a brush on a pole, and rinsed with a low pressure tip....

It was dark as the place was not completely lit up at night, so could not see results until today....

Any suggestions?
