All electric setup

Here is an idea. Feel free to run with it, if you have the means to.
An all electric truck and pressure washer setup. I saw on VIA motors website that they sell electric long range vehicles. E-REV for short It is an electric motor with lithium ion batteries with it that can run 40 miles a day all electric, plus a 6 cylinder motor with a generator only to charge batteries to drive farther. Also you can hook up equipment to it, like a pressure washer. Put a washer on the back. You can clean a whole house without the loud racket of a small engine. It could be a big selling point to the sophisticated crowd. Bad thing is the truck costs $80k, but it evens out over time with the price of gas going up every month. What do you all think?

$80k truck is cheap!

Problem with anything with batteries is that they die or become unreliable over time. Hot/Cold weather is always an issue.

I don't know why somebody hasn't built a PW pump to run off the truck motor.

I am building a 24v double alternator system right now off a 20hp motor to power the lift when the batteries are dead.

Looks like a little bit of welding of brackets and a hood scoop would be all one needs to run a pump off the motor. They do it all the time with blowers.

Imagine two 11 gpm clutched pumps running off the truck engine with their own separate belt.

Low emissions bypassing any future regs on small engine emissions.

An idling diesel usually uses less than a gallon an hour.

Pre-heated 100 degree water could reduce the size of the boiler in the truck bed leaving more room for water.

I'm sure I am behind the times and this has been tried before.

Anybody have any information on this type of setup?

The problem I see is to get a big enough electric PW you would have to go to 3 phase and that's probably not gonna happen from a vehicle.

Tony. There are a bunch of manufacturers who manufacture PTO driven systems off the truck engine. The problem I see is that you wear out a larger diesel engine instead of a small one that can be repaired or replaced easily. I believe Blaine runs his off pto with success.

Bill dog does, saw six working. I have video of them to.

Oct event San Diego free free text me for more details !!

Aqua-Mike- Doesn't everything wear out? These aren't car batteries, these are big Li-ion batteries. What is PTO?
Dubbs- What is 3 phase? I could put extra batteries on it maybe.
