One Restore in Pump up sprayer

Acid loves to eat aluminum.

Most sprayer manufacturers say to not store chemicals in the sprayers.

After wasting some sprayers in the beginning many years ago I started to empty them into containers and rinsing them out so they would last longer.

Unless you spend a lot of money on a very expensive sprayer, not many will last with the chemicals stored in them. Most corrosives we use will eat through the metal sprayers, stick with the poly sprayers.

I go to Tractor Supply and buy all the pump-up sprayer I can take. Its usually 15-20. They're 2 gal sprayer (i think) at $10 each. They get me through 1 season.

I did the same thing. Ace Hardware had a sale on 2-gallon pump-up sprayers and I bought 8 of them at $9 each. One for bleach mix, one for acid and I never empty and they will last 3 months. Plastic only with no aluminum.

I rarely use my one restore and when I do I like to have it handy. The bottle itself is fine just the sprayer and tubing has gone to sh**. Wonder if I can just replace that with something better and start rinsing that piece off? Pouring a gallon into the pump up sprayer is pretty easy, but doing it opposite would be nearly impossible for me. I like having my trailer and all supplies set in a way so I'm always ready for any kind of job and don't have to worry about prepping for the next job. Just always ready no matter what. You guys gave me some pretty good answers and Doug I might just go and get the pump up sprayer you get since they seem to last you longer than the ones I've been getting. Thank you everyone.

Just curious what nozzles to you guys use in the pump up sprayers for applying chem. Do you just use the ones they came with or different ones? Does it matter what you are spraying?

Kristopher, about every Sunday, any of the sprayers that have any acid product in them, I just shoot a small amount out. i think the problem with most of these sprayer's are that some times we let them sit to long with out any activity and that acid stuff just kills them. The sprayers i linked to are the only ones I buy or use.

Most acid products like F9, one restore, I use the fan tip. Degreasers and others I use the adjustable pattern tip.....they are the ones that come with the sprayers.

I take the handles off after releasing the pressure and rinse them out. Every time i throw one away i keep the spring if its any good since that what goes the most often

lol Jon, I do the same thing. Those little guys are valuable!

I use plastic sprayers. No aluminum or metal. Normally I return the chemical back to the original container, but sometimes I will turn the sprayer up side down squeeze the trigger. This will blow air out through the pick up tube, etc.
