Kitchen exhaust grease on metal roof. What chems?

This is my wifes parents restuarant. They put up a painted metal roof (pole barn metal) a couple of years ago. Since then the grease from the exhaust vent has dripped down the roof. It is probably a couple of panels wide and from top to bottom. What chem can I get to take this off. I have tried to use a couple of degreaser and heat to get this off to no avail. It started to take the paint off the metal and I want to avoid that. The only washer I have available is my 4gpm@2500psi. It does produce heat through three heat exchangers up to 230 degrees but will not hold that temp at high pressure.

Hey Roy, I washed commercial vent hoods for several years and the best way of removing heavy build up is with a scraper. Then come in with some degreaser made for cleaning vent hoods, which usually alot stronger than the regular degreaser, run your heat up all the way start at the top and inch your way down. A turbo will help if you can stand the noise.

What about the paint coming off especially with a turbo nozzle. The paint was starting to come off in places already with a mild degreaser. Any recommendations on a hood cleaner?

From what I have seen the paint comes off more as a result of the grease than anything, I washed grease off a roof in that exact situation one time, and the only paint that came off the metal was under the grease, every thing else was fine.

I was wondering if that might be the case. I sure hope not but I guess that is what happens when you let something go that long without doing something about it.
