My lift is now a hybrid

Thanks to UAMCC member Tom Cusick for helping me with some ideas on this.

For years we have had a problem on this lift. Even with two four-packs of high amp/hr batteries we still had problems with the unit running down on days when we had more than a dozen or so stops.

The on board charger connected to a 2500 watt inverter with the truck running would only give us three or four additional times up because it just couldn't keep up with the amp draw.

Now I have a 24v 120 amp charger at the ready anytime for emergencies. It will fast charge for short periods of time or using a boat battery switch it can run all day right off the generator with no batteries connected at all.

Once I get my washer mounted behind it again that means for the first time ever we can do filters at multiple buildings at an office complex with the lift while the truck moves on to do longer jobs like evap cleaning.

The lift is self propelled, but we could never use it before because it would kill the batteries going 100 yards!

Thanks for your help Tom!
