I'm looking for a hot water p/w 5 gpm 3000 to 3500 psi.

Electric motor oil fired, gasoline/diesel engine oil fired or natural gas/propane fired?

What are you planning on cleaning? You may nedd less PSI and/or more GPM.

For local support and information contact Marc Spivey at Chem-Plus in Deptford. You can reach him at 856-227-5935. He is a knowledgeable and well established dealer.

Hope this helps? Cheers.

There is some show in PA , maybe they ciuld bring a unit up for you? Save the shipping cost's.

When purchasing a hot water unit. Don't buy used only knew, for warrenty purposes. Buy locally so if there is a problem you won't have to pay big $$$ sending it somewhere.

Everett what don't you agree with Mike on?

Mr. Abrams, sir, I am curious as to what I have posted that even harbours disagreement?

What someone needs to clean with is really dependent on what they are planning on cleaning. Hood cleaners need less flow than flat work guys, deck cleaners (which I see from your web site you do) need less pressure than gum removers. Correct?

Where you are planning on cleaning will determine which fuel you use. Some use propane including a propane powered genset to run electric motor pumps and fuel their LP burners (please see David Olson's rig at Tidy Powerwash), many use diesel fired burners with either 12 V or 110 V igniters and gasoline or diesel engines. Is that also not correct?

When I went to my map to see where the originator of the post is located I directed him to the nearest professional pressure washer dealer I know of. Personally, if I have a question about my automobile I go to a mechanic first, not usually the local iron-monger/ hardware store. I can do some things on my auto myself but I will defer to a local expert because it is cheaper in the long run. Chem-Plus IS a well established, local, professional dealer. He is free to suggest any product he represents to the customer; I would like it to be mine but if I do not build what the customer needs I expect him to get what does. Is that also not a correct position?

So I reiterate, what have I posted that required disagreement?

I respect your opinion and as freely as you give it I also freely choose to ignore it.

I merely try and help and have never, ever directed anyone to my products but have put a link to our web site for further information.

We have never sold around a dealer, as we are a manufacturer not a distributor, so I will always support the concept of a local business benfitting another local business.

Money spent outside the community never comes back. Every dollar spent locally creates a total of $7 in secondary spending according to most economic theory.

I do apologize for 'venting' but it seems that I have been under attack lately on these BBS's and I am getting a wee bit confused. If you wish to discuss anything I may post you can email me directly because the one listed is my personal email, not a corporate one and I do respond. I will even pay to listen to your opinions if you wish to email me for my toll-free North American number.

Hope this helps? Cheers.

Sorry if you are unable to find my personal email address...here it is...

bang out of order

everett i think you are well out of order with your no comment and i think you should stand behind your post and make some sense of your words.

i do not know micheal but evry post i have read of his has been very helpful and honest and knowledgable, also he is always banging the drum for people in bisiness to buy local all the time not once have i heard him say "buy from me" or "email me i can help you"

he is upfront and straight down the middle.....which is a lot more than you have been in your last two posts...........

i think its about time people supported decent posters and not let them get hassled by people who forget to put thier brain in gear or are sitting on it..happens to often on all these boards.

I too respect both Mike and Everett. Not taking any sides only to point out that this is the contractor area. Maybe Everett is only looking at that Mike’s relationship with Epps. Mike has displayed over the years to be very helpful. Myself I look at Mikes help to be a great asset to this BBS. Thank you Mike, I realize that you may not have understood this area is for contractors giving other contractor advice.

Mark where you only looking for contractor help? If so you’re in the right place. If you need Mikes help call him or whom he has directed you too.

Everett,
I also respect your opinions and can understand you eagerness to help. I realize you’re that type of guy. I sure you realize that two heads are better than one and I know Marks no dummy he will call more than one person. So why not give Mike a shot and see if he can help. Basically see if who really does have the sweeter deal.

Everett and Mike you Guys are Pro’s.. Work your problems out. I think is just a misunderstanding.

Timeout!

I don't know either of you personally or professionally so why would I say anything negatively one way or another. I only know you guys from the bbs and respect both of your opinions and didn't attempt to stir up any disagreement. Mark is a local competitor that I have met and only meant to give him my help. I have nothing against your products what so ever. My no comment is just that , in other words I won't say anything negative.
For the record I will call you to discuss this as I am always up front and if anyone ever wants to contact me my number is 1-866-440-3325. Again if I stepped on anyones toes I apologize as it was not, nor ever, my intent.Absolutely a misunderstanding.

Hello Mark,

Since my name was mention thought I should show you want Mike was referring to!

This picture shows our 45 Kw Genset (350 GM engine) in the center of the photo. On the left side is our stand alone boiler (Whitco) 980,000 Btu. Both of these units run on Lp vapor.

On the right side of the first picture is part of our surge tank and hose reels.

The picture in this post is our primary pump. It is from the oil field industry manufactured by Wheatley. We currently are running it with a 20 Hp 220 3 phase electric motor. It is a duplex pump 1-1/8" plungers, running at 485 rpm. Output is up to 3000 psi almost 10 gpm. We dial up the pressure we want at the pump and then select the tip to determine the flow out that line. All water that is not used returns back to the surge tank.

While I'm thinking of it our boiler can be adjusted to make steam. Had a 5000 gallon tank a few weeks ago that we were cleaning and I wanted to loosen up the product inside. Set the Wheatley to about 1500 psi, used a number 10 tip and cranked up the boiler. We were making 280 to 300 degree water heating up the tank for a couple hours!

Dave Olsen Rules.....END OF STORY. The Barry Bonds, A-Rod, or Better Yet The Babe Ruth(And not in age) of The Powerwashing Contracting end of our business.

As For Everette Abrams and Micheal(The Brains) That represents Epps, You guys are both respected here and I along with others appreciate your posts. Chalk it up as a misunderstanding and forget about it which is a great way to not lose the respect that you guys have earned.

Explanation

Well, judging by the amount of views we certainly have folks attention. This is why I'll break that "no comment", understanding that the "no comment" was meant to take the high road professionally and not make this Company A vs. CompanyB.First, Mark Williamson, whom I just met at a roundtable meeting and happened to think he was a nice guy asked about hot water 3500 PSI pressure washer. Now knowing Mark I am thinking that I have three directions I would send him first. One, I have had about a dozen phone calls since June of competitors selling off equipment or their businesses and this time of year is great for that in New Jersey. Two, I was going to suggest to Mark if he waits until January that I would help him put one together as I have done with a trailer unit (I have a heated shop).Third my opinion is , that Marc Spivey and Chem Plus are in Gloucester County and Mark W. and I are in Burlington County ,about one hour from Chem Plus ,and only about 10 minutes from each other.
There happens to be another"local" vendor closer to us that most of the "local competition" use.The reason for this is one they sell pressure washers and equipment, second they sell cleaning supplies and thirdly, they do on-site repairs. I don't believe that Chem Plus offers that service. Now going back to Mark that means as this,I believe, is going to be "his" machine and that if it needs repair and he has to take it to Chem Plus he will be out of business during repairs, possibly. The other "local" vendor may have him back up and running that day and probably so if he bought a machine through him.
Secondly, the reason for the no comment is that I didn't want to make this about Chem Plus and any other vendor I didn't want for any other reason one to offend one company over another, which I ended up doing. Now, ironically , my company DOES do business with Chem Plus in that "local" area. However, because I choose McDonalds over Burger King doesn't mean I have distaste for one, I simply like McDonald's better! This is my opinion and I stand by my right to give that opinion in this forum without being attacked.I believe that is what this Contractor's Forum is for.
I don't know if anyone can tell but both Michael and I had Mark W 's best interest in mind.Unfortunately Michael not being from the area is at a loss geographically in regards to other vendors and services. There was never any intent to bash any vendor , manufacturer, or service. Simply I was attempting to steer Mark in "another direction" because I truly believe it will help his business. I don't often see competitors as close in area as Mark W. and I offering to help one another ,however, THAT is the type of person that I am .I hope that is enough said.I am the type of person who would help others out and do not bash anyone, as has been done here to me ,I hope next time someone will wait for an explanation first.I look forward to communicating with all parties in subsequent posts as I respect everyone's opinion, thank you.
By the way, I agree with Clean County. Dave Olson is our Barry Bonds or Babe Ruth!
