Karcher HDS 501

[FONT=Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif]There seems to be a lot of Karcher equipment for sale in my area lately. This is one add and just wondering what people thought of Karcher in general "110v hot water pressure washer. Karcher HDS 501. Runs great complete with hose trigger gun and wand. Looks in good shape but know inside pics and it's for $800. This maybe my 1st step for this year to try the waters and if all is well go to the Landa dealer in the fall.

Hey did you find anything wrong with the unit? I may be picking it up as soon as tomorrow.
 
Looks like a toy. How many gpm and psi rating? Can it actually produce 180 degree water or is that just what the thermostat has on it? How is the water heated (electric or burner)?

I'm with you Pat. Is this an electric machine?
 
Specs show 500 liter per hour. ... that is 2.2 gallons per minute.
80c equal 176 degrees. Don't know what the psi is.

2.2 gpm is very low flow. 176 degrees is pretty impressive for such a small unit. With the right chems might be good for degreasing small areas.

Hi Guys,

This unit does 140c on colder days (dial shows it goes to 190), it's burner is diesel fed. It has about 2 GPM. PSI is 1000 psi or the British model is 1400 psi but I work on cars so splashback is a possibility. 1000 psi is actually plenty.
