Rust on siding

Has anyone removed rust stains from siding? Is there anything that I need to be aware of? I know I can't get F9 on the glass. This is what I am working on.

I've done several jobs like this with F9. Spray it on, let it sit for about a minute or 2 and then rinse off. You might have to take a soft brush to it though. I went 3 to 1 dilution and never have any problems.

F9 can actually be used on the glass. I know Craig has used it on glass and at first did say that it could be used on glass but I think he stopped saying that because of liability reasons.

The biggest thing with acid on glass is make sure that it doesn't dry on the glass.

I would spray it on and then brush it and then rinse.

I have used acid on windows before...just don't let it dry!!!!!!!

I have had good luck cleaning rust stains with the F9 on vinyl siding and glass, just don't let it dry.

Thanks for all the info!

As for the drain lines, they are actually AC overflow lines that should not have anything flowing unless the main AC drain is clogged. The are usually in a place that would be noticed by the homeowner since it is a sign of bigger problems. That also requires the homeowner to actually do something about it though. If you do any multifamily work it's something to keep an eye out for, especially after summer when the AC's have been running. I have 39 units to clean in one neighborhood.
