Hey guys a few questions for ya.. First one being what is the best type of brush you guys have found to use on fleet trucks? From what I've read I know a lot of you guys two-step chemical but sometimes I run into places on a truck that have to be brushed. Most of the brushes ive used just don't last for some reason. I've tried soft types of brisseled brushes as of late and they haven't served as well as I thought. Was just wondering what you guys have had the best results with. Also ive heard of guys using EBC on heavy equipment but has anyone tried using it on Fleets? Thanks for the help in advance. Oh yeah, and im working on my signature as soon as I get done typing this post.. :)

There is a green bi-level brush that works good, been using them for many years now, here it is on Paul's site:

And here is another brush that is similar but bristles on the sides also for the nooks and crannies:

Many vendors sell them, I just happen to have found them on Paul's site first.

As for a degreaser for heavy equipment, I use several but nothing from local vendors, some of the good stuff you can get from Russ J. at Southside equipment.

Depending on what I am cleaning, that will determine what type of degreaser I will use.

Tell Russ what you are using and he will get you some good degreaser but follow his instructions so you do a great job without removing paint or damaging decals.

If you can't find the brush your looking for just ask Chris. He probably has spares under his bed.

Hahahahaha a lot of that is true! hahahahaha

I actually need to order a few more of those brushes, they are great and last a long time but unfortunately they don't last forever.

Going to open this back up a bit. I will need to buy a brush soon too. So looks like the green brush is used the majority of the time? What about the salt and pepper colored brushes. I was thinking they were a little softer but not 100% on that. Should I have both or others?

Vikan specialise in fleet washing equipment. I think it is out of England not sure if you will find it in the states but worth a look, Full recommend their equipment.
I use their fleet wash brush for doing windows, soffits etc. good brush has done me 12 months and still going strong. They have soft ends on them to stop them knocking paintwork about. Vikan Have a big range of water fed extension poles to go with the brush head of your choice.

I have tried them and they are nice but I prefer the green nylex bristle ones myself. They slide easier and seem to hold up better with the detergents I use.
