iPad Air

I got one last week... I had the iPad 1... ( still do actually ) The 1 would crash....... could no longer run some apps etc..... i switched over to quickbooks online from my Mac version......Its nice to have the iPad air with me when I need a bigger screen than my iPhone...... I actually ended up getting the air 64gb.....ATT had all of the them zero percent for 20 months.... so it was a no brainer for me.... I love cash in my bank account and ZERO interest.. Its faster than the original.. this one is LTE so i don't have to tether it to my iPhone....... Overall I am very very happy with it!

That's good to know Matt.
When you say Quickbooks is it QB for Ipad or just standard QB online?
I can't stand the mobile version of QB online. It's way too limited for use.
I see the QB for ipad a lot on Facebook but there's too many mixed reviews for me to make a decision to switch to that one or not.

I use the QB online.......... I can use the mobile app for iPad and iPhone as well free with the online version...... It can be restrictive..... but... I can use either via safari and utilize almost 99% of the features... So safari and iPad has a bigger screen than the iPhone.... if i need to use the online version versus the iPad app!

If you have the full version of QB on a PC (or Mac) at home or the office, you can do like I do and use TeamViewer (.com) and remote into it and use it that way. TeamViewer works great even from my iPod 5. I'm sure it would much better on an iPad.

Just lost my first job over the weekend to me saying "let me look up your SF and give you a call back right away so I can give you the best estimate on price".... They immedialtey called someone after i hungup and booked the appt in under 2 mins. Think I might be getting an IPAD with 4g/3g capability to alleviate this issue so i can pull specs on houses quick while out in the field receiving phone callls.

Are you eating up a lot of data using the ipad to access the QB file Matt? Over the winter I went through a couple different options trying to figure out what would work best in the field and I came to the conclusion that the data usage would eat us alive and be very expensive. I'm usually on the grid all day updating email which isn't too bad on the data. Using it to quote out of your QB file is a different animal. I don't like QB Online either.. to limited and generic IMO.

I just started using it.3 weeks ago. I also just changed form 6Gb to the new 10gb plan from ATT.. My books are a little different. The lawn business has a lot of monthly invoices (90 plus) to keep track of. The second level QB online lets me schedule the invoices. I can look at a moments notice to see where my money is. For my seasonal ( non contract clients ) i can send a receipt for their payments which integrates directly into quickbooks. I just changed to QB payments too.... their rates were similar to others, but the integration makes it easier. I also like being able to input my expenses right away and take a picture of the receipt ( if needed - wanted ). I can invoice PW customer right then and there.. convert from and estimate to and invoice. receive payment on the spot. or collect a check and have it set up read for a deposit. The mobile apps don't allow you to input the deposits... You have to use safari to log in to the web version to do it.
