Vehicle Wrap Removal

I got a lead on some vans needing to have the old wrapping removed so they can put on new ones. Can anyone help me with some advice on the best way to remove this quickly, safely and enviro friendly as reasonably possible?? Thanks

Pretty sure it the same method as applying, just in reverse. Heat it up and peel it off. Plenty of "wrap installation" videos on YouTube.

Yep...the guy that removed mine last night used a small propane torch and a small craft blade thing a ma jiggy. The PWI stickers were the hardest to remove.

I've taken some logos off of tractor trailers. and they were a real pain. They were sun baked for years and cracked in several places. If they are in a single piece they should not be too bad. Time will be dictated by the condition of the wrap or label

I removed the wrap from my tailgate after it was on there for over 5 years and with the plastic scraper tool they let me borrow and some goof off, it took about 3 hours as nothing came off in large pieces, sometimes it was faster to use my fingernails as everything came off small.

As the wrap came off, you can smell the strong smell of glue, not regular glue but the kind that if you are in a closed room, it will make you light-headed or worse, good thing I was outside doing this.

I use hot water machine and while tip. Spray at an angle and keep a couple inches away from vehicle. Let the heat do the work. Don't need a lot of pressure. Ideally a steamer would work better. After vinyl comes off just spray whatever glue is left with goof off or adhesive removed and rinse it off. Been doing it for years. Van will take an hour or two depending on how much is wrapped

I have taken off vehicle wrap ( stickers) with a heat gun. Very slow process. I have NOT tried this but I have kept a small file for such things as I'm planning on removing all the graphics from my camper trailer next year and I saw a post some place that Removal Magic from Sun bright was a good product.

Check at a body shop or auto paint store for a tool called the eraser. It will pull off glue, number stickers ,double sided tape on cars and not hurt the paint. Let the tool do the work little to no pressure is needed. They do wear out fast but can not hurt the paint, unless the tool is old and hard. Just like a pencil eraser tearing the page, ,,,,, scratched paint. Just an idia.
