Hang Tite Vs Roof Snot Vs Gain

What Gain, Water, Bleach ratio for roofs? I do Simple Cherry and Bleach 1:4. Same thing on a roof?

Snot for everything.

Roof snot is a great product, try it out and see.

The price per batch of roof cleaning mix is negligible considering that roof snot stretches so much further. The question is who would you rather send your money to? Russ Johnson, who will go out of his way to help you any way you can? Or would you rather send it to Proctor and Gamble? I also don't think it's a very good look for customers to see you washing their roof with dish soap.

I second this...

Russ goes out of his way to help all of us everyday. I see questions thrown at that man left and right that get quick responses all day. How many guys have had problems mid-job, and russ got them back to work the same day? That alone would be enough for my vote, but roof snots a great product. Win/win if you ask me

I buy 29% Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. About $100.00 5 gallon to the door. Cut it three times and now you have 15 gallons of excellent soap,..for roofs or houses. I use TSP in my roof mix, but I will add some SLS for cling if need be. When you get SLS it will be almost a solid,..about like lard,...especially in the colder temps,....but when it's cut properly it makes an awesome thick,..pure white clear liquid soap,..and is compatible with sodium hypo.

PS,..If you like thick soap,..you can still cut it 3 times and then add some salt to thicken it back up. It's a trick soap companies use to make you think you're getting ultra concentrated.

Thanks for clarifying. I always thought ultra concentrated meant watered down. Or skimping on certain additives.

I should clarify,..this stuff only turns to a solid when it gets below like 50 degrees,..as it warms up it turns back into a liquid,.. They also sell in 1 gallon if anyone wants to try it.

Bought on ebay from "The Chemistry Connection",..user name Arkie-Annie

Gain for us. Cheap and works great. Never had a customer ask what kind of soap we use specifically . All they care is that their roof WAS dirty and now its clean.

Amen. you really get what you pay for and might as well go with the one that has help and support with it!

I have only used gain so far. Hard to beat $3 for 44oz, easy to find, helps the mix smell less harsh, grips well. What do you guys think of Hang Tite and Roof Snot? Pros, Cons???
Both are better, in an absolute sense, then Gain is, as far as thickness is concerned.
Both either contain Ammonyx LO, or a closely related to Ammonyx surfactant. Gain also contains Ammonyx, just not as much as the Snot or Hang Tite.
However, Gain also contains a pleasant smell, that does mask the smell somewhat.

What you use is up to you. We use Gain and/or mix up our own soaps from materials we buy in drums.
However, as Josh Davis pointed out, though Gain can be had at Family Dollar Stores, try calling them when you get into trouble!

Both Russ Johnson, and also Rex from Pressure Washer Products, are well known for being there to help their customers, when stuff breaks.
