Best Dual Lance Wands

What are some of the best dual lance wands out there right now? I've been having the side handles start leaking after a month on both the Suttner ST-54 and AR-607. I'm getting tired of replacing wands every month or 2.

I agree, seems like if you use them for house washing, they start leaking after a couple weeks, no house washing then you get a couple months out of them.

It would be nice if real commercial duty dual lances were made for the contractors.

Yea please help on this one. We have tried alot of them and seems they don't last. We just put in another order for another dozen. This is getting costly every three months.

Have you tried the ST53 wands? they have a smaller knob on top so people don't crank on them like the side handle ones and they seem to last a bit longer

. another option is the trigger pull dual lance

but that is just an on/off proposition and they have to be held on the whole time.

I saw where someone was rigging up a simple ball valve rather than the type of valve that they come with. I'm sure it lasts much longer

On the last st-54 I put together, the pipe didn't even have enough threads cut into it to get tight at the trigger gun. It just went in till you ran out of threads, and was all crooked and loose.

I quit using the dual lances. The way I have all my jrods setup I just pop in the one tip I want and get all the flow right where I want it. Then when I want to finish porches or such I just pop in a 60 degree 30 or 40 orifice and get a nice low pressure fan for a quick rinse that doesn't blow more mulch or leaves or whatever everywhere.
I remember when William once opined how much dead weight a dually was and I so disagreed at that time with him. My how I've changed. I replaced my last one after it went out two years ago and maybe used it once. Kinda going the way of the yellow noodle to me.

After using nothing but them for years, we now only use them for popping gum and commercial concrete cleaning. Ball valve and or the nozzles like Pat says, is all we use now for residential.

I get they are nice when you get up near walls or corners trying to clean concrete and not wanting a lot of back splatter. I've found that in situations like that or doing steps etc that a turbo nozzle for some reason is very effective cutting in the details like that and for some reason I cannot logically figure out the turbo doesn't do all the uncontrolled back splatter. Then after doing all the high pressure cleaning I just rinse once with higher pressure tips so I can finish any missed spots then a quick hit with low pressure and wide fan to blow away the leaf or mulch debris kicked up by high pressure. Really more simple and fast than it sounds since all the tips are right there on the jrod. To me the dually wand is just wasting useful flow when it's open. The proper tip for the job at hand is a lot more controlled and effective IMHO.

I have tried those and one by another brand or two, none of them last more than a couple months before they start leaking.

I guess it is job security for the companies making them, making them not last too long.

I've been doing some thinking on this since this month is a little slow (25 out of 31 days I have work booked so far) I'm going to take the time and develop a new adjustable wand that will outlast the others. Plus it will have a special feature to it. Hopefully I'll have the prototype made by the end of this month or middle of next month.

Good luck Vince, hope you can make something that will last for contractors, you might have the next big idea.

Vince,
We are doing the same in our shop now. got a couple of prototypes now to test.
