What Type of Clothing do we use Pressure washing,boots, pants,shirts

O..why didn't you say so ;) ,I do not buy mine any bigger or smaller then I do my other shoes,they do not seem to get any bigger or smaller when wet/dry altime.No need for extra socks,feet stay warm and dry with one pair,I wear mine year round,I do not have a problem with sweaty feet.....mine are 9 1/2 whats yours.:D

oneness,check in the hunting or fishing department,they make a spray you can spray on shoes,hats,gloves,raingrear to make it waterproof.I cann't think of the name of it but want it works,want last forever but it works.
 
Well we learned one thing about Bigboy, he has SMALL FEET:)

try 11 1/2 wide and I buy my tennis shoes a size larger.

Yes Bigboy I used to get soaking wet wearing them but pretty much stay dry for the most part, getting those corners does take practice and yes I do get spray back then.
 
Jon, regarding your question about summer wear...
I wear $11 rubber boots year round. Use two pair of wick away socks - sometimes one pair in summer. These seem to get rid of the sweat effectively in the summertime. Also in winter sometimes use thin sock liners, or insulated boot liners. Forecasting mid 20's later this week - may need to get all of this out!
 
bigboy, why would i lie about the boots i wear. I don't spend alot of money on boots any more because no matter what brand they are newagain destroys them quick and i get newagain on them everyday, not to mention bleach,stripper, and caustic detergents.

I rotate the boots so the outside and shoestrings can dry not the inside.
 
Chuck,I do not think for one minute you'd lie about anything,still cann't run fast enough to give me a pair tho..:D .......whats the biggest fish you ever caught.

I do the two step so I know what your talking about when you say things eat'em up.

You can set back down in your chair,I isn't picking on ya :D ,have you found a good way of tieing dat shoestring,mine sometimes comes uptied and I tie a double knot.
 
i know you won't picking on me bigboy, i'm just like you... i like to stir @#$t up...:D just wanted to mess with ya ,no hard feelings from me about anything u say, u been round the block a few more times than me so i'll take your advice on just about anything.:)

maybe we can really stir stuff up this winter, a mans gotta have sumthing to do with his time...lol...
 
After rons comments about ebay I started poking around on there. Since I was on the subject of footwear, I did a search on my favorite brand of sneaker, Asics.

yeah I know,seems tho lately everything I say turns to crap or get it throwed at me one.

huh,when winter gets here,watch out,cabin fever turns into #%#%#% words so don't use those type words and you can stir up all the crap you want,warning some on here cann't handle it:D :D :D :D...guess they got wet feet :eek:
 
If I were going to buy boots or shoes on Ebay, I would go to a store that carries the model I wanted, and try them on for fit, so when I ordered from Ebay, I'd know for certain what size to get.

I'd also do a little homework on the models/styles available before ordering anything online.
 
what I have found to be the most comfortable is a pair of water proof socks and any cheap pair of hiking boots. My feet never get wet and the hiking boots are alot more comfortable than the rubber boots. I have also found the socks to last a lot longer than the Gortex boots. Sometime up to a year and half.

I guess that I spend the most on my feet. I wear Ecco's with Gore Tex. They are about $200 a pair. I also put Birkenstock insoles in them. They are $50 a pair. So I have $250 in my boots. I have found that this is the most effective combination for me, but I also get really wet shoes. I do rewaterproof them every Saturday after I get home. That gives them all day Sunday to dry out and soak in the water proofing. I also usually get six months out of them before the leather starts cracking. Lesser boots usually last me three months before they are shot. Before the flames start, keep in mind that I am washing 60-70 hours a week, year round. So that would be equal to the 18 months or so that a lot of guys get out of a pair of boots.

I used to wear only Danner boots for backpacking and hunting,then when they started to wear out, I used them for hood cleaning. The last few years Danner boots have been cheapened up. I tried Rocky boots w/gore-tex, they lasted about 8 months before the glue started coming off the rand. I find that the gore-tex does not hold up to the cleaning chemicals. I just bought a pair of 6 inch pvc work boots for $18.99. They are waterproof, not too comfortable, but cleaning hoods I only wear them 3/4 hours at a time. duluthetrading.com or 800.505.8888 They also have suspenders for those of us who are getting fat around the middle.

Yesterday I cleaned the hood at the local ski resort, about 7,000 foot elevation and so cold I could see the frost sparkle as it formed. The sun was shining and the day was beutiful.. Day like that make me so glad I live in Eastern Oregon. Those pvc boots were pretty good, even in the snow on the roof. However, when I went home, the outside temp was 15 and the temperature in the van was about 40. My feet got cold. Right now the outside temperature is 18, and will get colder. I am also going to take a pair of leather boots and dry socks to work tonight.

I buy the sock on REI's web site. www.rei.com. Their are two different types, one is gore tex, the other I'm not sure what type it is, but both are breathable. I haven't had any problem with my feet sweating in them.
 
I wear the Rockys year round and use acid, sodium hydroxide, chlorine wax hell almost every cleaning chem known to man including stains and sealers and strippers of all kinds. It all gets on the boots not to mention chicken dooo dooooo which is extremely caustic in nature and I have never had the gore tex liner fail inside of a rocky boot until the cordura shell wears out and the liner is exposed to the abuse. Even after that you still have a few good weeks of wear until you get a leak. Couple times ive been on new construction jobs to come home and pull the nails out of my sole that never reached the liner or my feet. Hell the tires on my truck can't even withstand those nails. Im not a salesman but for the money rockys can't be beat. Wear em and take em off at the end of every day maybe hit them with a hose to clean them but as far as water proofing them they are already waterprooof. No matenaince is needed. No dry time. Cabella's and Bass Pro sell em in their catalogs as well as some bait and tackle shops and archery stores. I wear a 12 1/2 WIDE and thats what I order and thats what I get. Good boots........
 
I wear the bear claw series,...the hight from bottom to top is 10 in..meaning over all hight.

I wouldn't know what it was like when washing on dry ground,I wade water,the ground has small holes to over your boot holes.In the winter time I wade mud when doing farm eqt.,sometimes it looks like I'm stirring mud for someone to made mud pies b/c the mud was frooooozen when I started washing,I like my Rockies.

Really at one time I thougt my son was going crazy for spending that kind of money on hunting shoes.He tried to tell me several times I needed to get a pair to keep my feet warm and dry,chit I was a tightwad,I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes,chit I could buy alot of fishing stuff with that kind of money and wear those want-a-be's.

I listen now when my son tells me something,guess he got big enough to know what he was talking about altime enstead of everyonce in awhile,today is his birthday,almost a warlock huh.
