STOP Making Video Like THESE!!!!!!!!!! Its STUPID Maryland Gas station Cleaning

Millions spent on onsite treatment and this PWNA board member would rather deal with it with a vacuum and a five gallon bucket to try to command higher pricing for cleaning

Once it it picked up it is YOURS. Of course sites want us to pick it up if we a dumb enough to take responsibility for it! And for what purpose? So we can make a few pennies more that we just end up giving to the guys who sell all this reclaim stuff!

How stupid are we?

This isn't environmentally friendly? This is bypassing millions of dollars worth of built-in treatment technology just so we can LOOK like we are doing something worthwhile.

We are cleaners, not waste transporters.

And lastly this is a GAS STATION. Just like a parking garage most of this so-called pollution that looks so nasty on video is nothing more than tire dust
Oil floats on top of water and has a definite sheen.

This is nothing more than trickery and deception to promote a movement towards reclamation everywhere even where it isn't needed or even helpful!

This is why everyone out there needs to attend the great NCE events that are held so you can learn the truth that is being hidden from you, learn that there are organizations that want stricter regulations and fines for contractors instead of helping them, there are organizations that want you to get fined if you don't buy expensive reclaim equipment from their favorite vendors, there are members in those organizations that purposely mislead regulators, lie to them and try to get them to pay for non-needed services to help them make the regulations more strict to make life harder for contractors when that is not needed, not wanted and the regulators are finding out about these people and are finally starting to ignore them.

People need to learn the truth that Ron M. and others have been saying for over a decade now about cleaning without needing to haul away wash water in most cases, there are people in high positions in organizations that are lying and have been lying to contractors and regulators for decades wanting stricter regulations to fine pressure washing contractors to force them into buying expensive reclaim equipment or forcing them out of the business, either way, this organization has been hurting contractors even though they claim that they have been helping contractors.

Ive never noticed anything like that in NJ. Is it not necessary to reclaim and filter the runoff? Ive never cleaned a gas station and probably never will.

They Exist Ed, You just need to know how to Look for them.

Were these stations built before 1986?

We have some old stations like this too. In many cases, at least around here, when stations like this close or change hands they end up being changed into flower shops or something else because they can't be retrofitted

I will check it out, though Im skeptical. Welcome to NJ (Woodbridge), three gas stations on one corner. Ive never noticed, but again I never really looked. It seems they all grade towards NJ State Route 35. I dont see how it's possible, but I will take ya'lls word. Im curious to find the buffer zones.View attachment 26939

It could be all under ground, the Maryland one was and exception. Usually that's all hidden

We have been doing stations for years and never had to reclaim anything. In our contracts it states the owner, who hires us, is responsible for all waste water. We have been stopped by township officials and questioned about what chems we are using but thats it.

Yes because they knew the class of retention systems in place. Unless the water was leaving the property there's not going to be and issue.

Often the reasons they want to know your Chem is because that's the only thing your adding to the possible pollution source.

So it's worse to recover it and take it offsite or discharge it to grassy area? I couldn't hear what Griff was doing with the wastewater in the video

That's a good question

If he's just dumping in a grassy area off site he can be fined. If you are going to haul and dump waste water you had better have records from the certified dump station you took it. I tell property owner up from they own it...it stays iin their property.

Scott Watch the video, if he Picks up and the Property has a Retention or Detention systems Putting in on Front Lawn Might Be outside containment. Thus now he is Polluting

recovery is important

i dont really post on here but i saw this..... all our customer REQUIRE the water to recovered. If your washing any major branded C-store and not recovering oil and pollutants thats asking for trouble. In the state of WV the DEP have eyes on the back of there head we are always getting audited for best cleaning practices.

if you not recovering waste water at fuel locations its only matter of time till you get caught......

Your right, eventually you will get busted picking this up and transporting illegally. Not to Mention proper disposal if you are transporting the Waste.

So Since your doing this lets Here how your Taking Care of this, show us your hauling permits and manifest for hazardous waste?

I want to see your Calibration of Machines records along with De-con when you get done with that gas station and move to the Next, who is doing this for you so cross contamination doesn't happen?

I'm so glad you have brought this subject up, finally and Intelligent person who realizes these things. I wait for all the answer with anticipation

Kevin I'm being a Little Rough on you because I want the answers
