App to make your work flow: UAMCC Discounts

The UAMCC is unveiling a new benefit. We have an agreement with an up and coming software company that is offering 20% off to all UAMCC members, contributing or not. They are in the process of setting up a portal for our members to take advantage of the discount.

The company is Device Magic.

It is an open app that you build yourself and it takes literally minutes.

How would you like to:

+Track your sales calls (or sales staff) with photos, gps and time stamping, and written notes regarding the sales contact that are entered in just by simply speaking into your phone?
+Send your customers before and after pictures, proof of time (time stamp) proof of location (gps stamp) the moment you finish the job?
+What about sending your customer a customized invoice with pictures straight to their email upon completion?
+ Or sending a receipt instantly?
+ Taking a picture of a problem area while working onsite that goes instantly to the customer to allow them to authorize the additional work immediately?

These are just some of the things this software can be used for.

Even better, We are working on custom templates that we will offer for download at the UAMCC forum that will already be written for specific applications that you can use or customize for your own business.

I've put up some examples of how we use this app at:

http://www.uamcc.org/forum/showthread.php/7519-Software

Our cost is $8 per month per phone in the field. You basically need one for each supervisor or salesperson in the field. We have 5 devices and are still paying less than Verizon's Field Force Manager when we had two! And we don't even have the discount yet!

I'm not connected with this company any way, nor do I get any compensation from them. (I don't even have the discount yet because they haven't set up the portal)

Here is a video that gives some idea of how easy the app is to build.

This looks amazing!

Thanks for looking into it Tony.

Many, Many Possibilities with this. I was a bit skeptical at first, as to if I could use it, but after testing with it awhile, I can see so many uses for it. Great Job Tony.

Sounds like Steve's wife. Where is the info stored?

The main thing is they have no relation with Our industry. Meaning no one is running a Cleaning operation thats associated and they have a User agreement. Protects both Parties

We have logged in over 50 sales stops in two weeks.

Tonight Shelly is using the Google Drive spreadsheet to schedule followups on Google Calendar for this week.

Each stop has our notes and pictures of business cards so all the information she needs for followups is at her fingertips.

If she remembers a location, but not the name of the company all she has to do is click on the map in the Device Magic App and click on the bubble and all the info is right there including the pictures.

These works even better with multiple screens. We've each got three screens hooked up to our computers (Thanks AC!) so it's easy to drag and drop info from the spreadsheet to the calendar.

Another thing that is nice about this is email notifications when a salesperson uses the app. You can follow them all day because each time they submit a contact it goes right to your email. It also brings accountability so you know your salesperson is actually doing something instead of just sitting around.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to make a video showing exactly how we use it for sales. It might take a few videos to go through the whole process, but you've got to start somewhere.

I guess it's time for me to contact them to get my UAMCC discount. I've got 5 or 6 devices on it already and have been paying full price all this time. And it's worth every dime!

I am looking forward to your great videos Tony, Thank you for this.

How do you have three screens hooked up on one computer?

Here is how we use it for sales contacts.

When I went out on sales calls with Ron his salespeople had 3 ring binders filled thick with one page per location. They would write notes at each visit. Some pages had dozens of visits.

I'm not a paper guy so this works perfect for me.

Whenever we go back we just enter a new entry, then when we get back if we want to see all the entries for that particular location we just sort by company name or location and it brings them all up for viewing.

Today we had 5 of us out in the field doing sales. My email was blowing up every five minutes letting me know someone was done with another stop. At the end of the day I had an email string for each person (device) and at a glance I could see how many stops each person made just by glancing at how many emails were in their string.

When I got back home I could look at the google spreadsheet where it put them all together in one place.

Here is how easy it is in the field:

i don't have the bidding app built yet. Mine is really complicated with air filters being a hundred different sizes and such.

Chris and Jill are working on a concrete bidding app, but Jill hasn't been feeling well over the past couple of days.
