co-employment

Anybody hire their employees through co-employment? Just read a powerwash.com article that mentioned it and I've never heard of it. I guess its different than using a temp agency. You retain more control and management of the staff but the other co. manages the payroll, taxes, benefits, workers comp etc. Says they get better rates on worker's comp so I wonder if that comes close to offsetting the costs of the service. anybody know?

Tony Shelton is the Master at the GOON squad , Reach out to him if you do not See him answer here. he Just missed it

It sounds similar to a payroll processing service. We get all of that through ADP. It takes payroll from a day long process down to an hour or two, at the most. It also helps us with human resource issues. If you have multiple employees it is very worth it.

Why not just hire employees instead of borrowing them? Seems like a big waste of time to me....... Maybe I'm missing something?

I agree Mike but I saw Tony working and I understand he needs.

Not sure a pressure washer co would need to.

But tony implements these guys into his systems well.

We have had the same six core guys for five years now.

Our work requires one responsible party (crew leader, we have 3) and anywhere from 1 to 6 more doing the work.

If you have six guys who are trained and you usually only need 4 you don't have to worry about calling in sick, late, or any of that mess.

What you need is always there, the temp agency makes sure of it.

If they ever send out a new guy that isn't working out they will send a van to pick him up and drop off another within an hour. How do you beat that?

You get billed monthly at a flat hourly rate. Workers comp, payroll taxes and everything else is paid in that flat rate.

Its been a good thing. We have used this since 2004.
