New F-150

Funny all of the utility companies around here have new 450's and 550's. Will Ford ever get it right?

I doubt that Ford will ever get it right. It could be that they're running the V-10s though instead of the diesels. The V-10 has been around for many years and actually is a great engine. Just the though of only getting 7 MPG though make me steer away from them.

Vince so far my truck has not given me any problems (knock on wood).I drive it everyday.Already have over 30,000 on it.I have had it for 11 and a half months.Wish yours would give you better service,I have been keeping up with your truck since it started given you trouble. It almost made me not get a Ford.I have only heard of a few F-250's with the 6.7 having any problems but I have heard of several 350's and 450's having problems.A friend of mine bought a 2014 Chevy Duramax 3500 flatbed lastnight. Its a nice truck. The bed has built in toolboxs.Never seen one like it before. Its a knapheide custom bed.A flatbed will be my next truck.I am so tired of pulling a trailer.

I've heard great things about the Duramax engines. I would be willing to bet though if you're to take off all the new emissions bullstuff off all of these new engines they would perform alot better. Even the 6.7L Diesel in my Ford would most likely be a halfway decent engine. Leave to the folks here in California though to screw all of that up for us.

I think Ford had it right with the 7.3 LD but then they had to mess that up. Very high demand for that particular engine. They are a workhorse for sure. Around here you can find one you had better jump on it because they don't set still very long.

I love my 6.2's. They are great in my 350's. It is also amazing in my raptor. The only major problem is one of the trucks got some bent connector pins when the truck was assembled. It was a pain having the truck die, but Ford finally discovered what was wrong and fixed it. They actually flee wan engineer in to figure it out, and he still fixed it.
I think the v10 has been discontinued.

Vince,I think the duramax is a great engine. My buddy that just bought the 2014 3500 duramax has 3 other duramax trucks.A 2005 2500 crew cab with 343,000 miles,A 2006 2500 crew cab with 115,000 miles (his personal truck)A 2006 3500 dump bed with 189,000 miles.I have changed the oil in them from day one.(I use to work at a dealership). These trucks have never gave him any trouble but just normal stuff like brakes tires battery's.
