What makes a video good? Let's share...

Views are very important also in getting ranked in both your SEO and on youTube when searched.

I have been doing some research and think I have found a good way to increase visibility of my videos. Getting subscribers appears to be a little more difficult. But I think I may be on to something.

Going to perform a a little test on this video, I'm guessing it will take a few days to see if it works.

It has 239 views as of this posting on 1/20/14 at 8:45PM EST. So I will do my thing and check back in on the view count in a few days.
 
This is my last one, just practicing trying to get something that works for me this was my first attempt at a template.

I am by far no expert but have been using videos for a few years now. The feedback I get from some potential customer " I saw your video and would like you to give us a quote to clean our roof " I use all mine for educational purposes. Relevant content rules in the search world. Many talk about Google which is number one but don't forget Bing and Yahoo. Bing has made great in roads. Many don't realize that the crawlers with search can also crawl the voice content. As to comments I am sure they are relevant. Views also because they give you some authority in the subject matter because others view it and see it as relevant. From a roof cleaning stand point, if people are not searching for the subject i.e. roof cleaning, roof cleaner, etc. the best optimized video will not be viewed. Search engines goal is to match the relevant content that best matches the searchers request. So if you have let's say a roof cleaning video that is all about roof cleaning and no one is searching for roof cleaning the video is moot. There is one subject matter that many have missed and that is " cost " many potential customer are searching for the cost of the service they are looking for. How do you optimize your video with cost being relevant content within the video? What I have learned from my videos is what I am thinking of isn't important, it is what the potential customer is thinking of. I know this maybe off your subject but in the end how to you get your video in front of the potential customer should be your main concern.
 
That is interesting, I have never heard anyone else say that the spiders can search the voice content, only heard that they search the text and code of sites and videos and blogs.

I would like to read more about this, where did you read that the spiders can search voice content so I can read it more myself?

I would like to see something on this also, I have never heard or read that either. Please provide your source for this information.

I love the high speed in the video. I do not enjoy watching videos when you are competing with the sounds of a pressure washer. Its annoying. I also do not enjoy videos that play music I do not like. I like rock but I do not like to hear it when watching videos, I picture and old couple looking for work, if they don't like the music then they will turn it off fast. This video I enjoyed. Quick and to the point. This is just my opinion.
 
I don't think that music will help it rank any but using copywrited music will get it pulled fast, usually within hours or a day and then your video is gone.

I know I speak for many, many others out there that using the wrong music on a video will turn off potential customers fast and might turn them off towards your company as well like using that crap rap or whatever it is when you are dealing with corp. people, homeowners or most people in general that don't listen to that junk, it is like listening to the worst noise you have heard and you expect to get customers to think that junk is cool and like your video? ? ? Not.

Somtimes it is better to not have music because you don't know what people like (you are not psychic or one of those fake tv psychics) so you don't know what music people will like so either narrarate it, put some soft music so it does not annoy them or just words on the screen for them to read.

Trying to think you are entertaining them might backfire so it is better to play it safe and not try to offend people even though you might like the music you are trying to push off onto people, not all people think like you do or like what you like, we are all different and that is what makes the Great USA a great place to live.

I have only made one video but could not decide what music to put on it so I just left it alone (I think some music would have made it better but could not decide on something and the few ideas I had the music was copywrited so I finally decided not to have any music) and the video has done ok, got a lot of views on it even though it is the noise of the pressure washer, it shows the cleaning happening in front of them and I have picked up some accounts from it. That video is in the posts with my signature, should be in this post also.

There is so much conflicting info out there on how to make your video rank higher, a lot of people out there contradict each other so it is hard to know who to listen to and who to believe. I don't know who really knows their stuff out there so I thought I would just do what I thought would be good and I got lucky and people have seen the video and some have said they like it so that is great, thank you guys.
 
When youtube processes a video, they look for words, audio, links, annotations and images. Using music with a copyright won't get your video pulled unless you're a partner. They will put ads on your video though.

Videos are extremely important. There is a reason youtube is the 2nd most used site!
