Automatic choke carburetor

You'd need to spring load the choke butterfly to close when the engine is off, and rig a vacuum pulloff to the intake that would open the choke once the engine starts.

What engine are you trying to use it on?

It may involve drilling and tapping the intake manifold for a hose barb.

And some experimentation. I've got a couple of vacuum pulloffs off Chinese generator engines. You'd have to play with the spring tension so the dashpot can pull the choke opened.

That sounds pretty straight forward. I'm down to try it. Maybe is it possible to get the auto-choke parts for regular carbs? Like for a klein, is the auto-choke the same carb with extra parts?

The generators with this pull off have a different choke assembly than the manual choke due to the spring loaded butterfly. The insulator between the cylinder head and the carb has a hose barb on it to pick up vacuum.

What engine are you trying to make this work on?
