Just wanted to say a BIG thanks to Craig. So often I run across different hard surface problems and take pics and text them to Craig and he is always so quick to answer back w suggestions and what the problems are caused by. So great having someone that you can depend on like that. Ran across two situations just today and Craig was immediately there with answers.

Oh, and that Rust Remover of his ROCKS too. F9 BARC, best rust remover on the planet earth.

It appears to be a slight grade around the fountain causing runoff to accumulate on the lower side. Have you tried anything yet?

Looks like a money maker to me.

Derell you're right, there is a slight grade. I should have taken some before pics but was in a hurry.

The entire base was an ugly mess - surrounded with moss and black algae that the homeowner couldn't get off. We used our concrete mix, dwell, wash. So what you see is the result.

So, spalding and what appears to be rust?

Could be rust or could just be the color leaching out of the fountain. Clean the mold first, then use a 4:1 of our F9 Effl and Calcium remover. You'll need several applications (only 1 at a time) and pw inbewteen. Call me for some, should be done early next week. Just fyi, these aren't easy jobs and I always do a little demo first to see what it will take to remove. Your best best for something this bad is to first try our F9 Efflo remover. If the calcite is too thick then you should look into maxxstrip and kieserite if you are going to do a lot of these. Usually fountains like that we'd have a minimum $350-$500.

I agree. Craig is on a different level with his knowledge on restoration. And has always gotten back too me with any questions.
We all are very fortunate to have him here.
Thank you Craig for sharing your knowledge!

Ok guys, how about this. It's only in one area of the fountain.

Like Craig mentioned maxx strip would work! I could be there tomorrow if I leave now!

I'd need to see closer pics of this. Can't tell if that's dirt or calcium. Either way we can make that look really good

Yes that is dirt, sorry I should have explained better. The white spots were my area of concern. They remind me of fertilizer stains. I'm not sure if they are though.
Calcium from standing water?
Are calcium carbonate stains always dark in color?
What would be the best way of removal? Thanks

Well it's colored stamped concrete with tons of different minerals in it in addition to topical calcium stains. Calcium is normally either black or white, sometimes gray. Use our F9 Calcium and Efflorescence remover on it, basically using it as an acid wash. Call me and I'll walk you through it.
