New construction tilt up concrete cleaning

I am in the process of buying a truck wash company that has room to expand into other areas. I have found out that in this area there is a need for concrete tilt up cleaning of bond breaker off the walls so that paint can be applied.

I have done parking lots, houses, decks, fences but not tilt ups. Beyond having a hot water setup with 5000 psi is preferred, is about all the information I can find.

Any one with experience in this aspect of pressure washing?

What kind of equipment are you buying that comes with the truck wash company? What kind of equipment do you have now? Also need to feel out your company info for your signature. Do that and I am sure alot more will chime in to help.

current setup is hot 3600 psi 4 gpm truck mounted setups 1000 gallons of water but I have the option of a 3rd truck

The truck wash equipment has been changed upgraded over the years on 2nd engines and pumps. They did not vent the exhaust out side of the truck bodies so they suck in a fair amount of exhaust. I will prob end up replacing the units within a year.

The general contractors that build tiltups, I have spoken with told me that their requirements were for 5000 psi hot or cold, other then that not a lot of info. If all it takes is a 5000 psi hotwater setup that will be a easy build and pick up a 30-40 ft cherry picker with 4wd

You need to talk to the general's concrete sub contractor and find out which bond breaker product he used and then remove it per the breaker manufacturer's directions.

It isn't/won't be a big deal getting it off. I'd bet that Zep Purple would do it.

The side of the wall with the breaker on it is called the "downside". Tilt-up construction has been around since well before portable pressure washers. So the 5,00O PSI thing is a bunch of fooey.

I have worked on tilt ups making them and what bond breaker used can be several different types on one building. Depends on what was available or what was in stock at the time or how much was left over from a previous job.

Not really want to get into having 10 diff types of soaps in the truck or having a less then 100% removal of the bond break and have the paint job get buggered an have $1000's of dollars in charge backs. This area does not have many commercial contractors for PW
