hey guys!

firstly, id really like to thank you guys for all the knowledge i have been reading these post religiously for months now!!

ok.

i originally wanted a trailer for my setup then i thought WAIT! i dont have anywhere to park it when not in use!
so now ive decided to get a van setup for many reasons!

im getting a 1 ton extended chevy van in a couple days.

the main question i have

is there a specific place i need to put the reclaim tank? (i.e over tires, behind seats)

any advice tips tricks and pics would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are you going to have a feed tank in there as well as the reclaim tank? If so I would put whichever tank is larger over the wheel wells. Ive mounted everything else in the vans several different ways over the years. All depends on what your cleaning and what you need the most access too

Here is a picture of one of our vans. It's an extended van, with burner and motor exhaust exiting out back door. We also use a steel bulkhead (with foam in gaps) to seal drivers compartment from cargo area.

this inspired me because although i have a cold unit i wanted a hot one as well but i didn't think it would be a good idea in a van!

your van looks amazing!

I got them from a local pool supply. They are actually rain storage tanks for the side if a building to collect the roof run off. I plugged the air vent in the top and turned them horizontal for the mount. I'll try and find brand name for yah.

I am on my phone and can't seem to post the pic but they were $150 on sale for $99. The info I have says they are originally from containrainwater dot com

No hot box in this van, I have a trailer with a small Hotsy on that if I need heat. I haven't been doing much heavy equipment as I used to so this is my resi. Set up. Works really well and it is super efficient to work with. Although it could be better. I have a dead space behind the drivers seat that I might place electric reels and then put a small (35 gal) chem tank where the reels sit now so it doensnt get close to the exhaust that's going through the floor

Either way it is a sweet set up you got there! Congrats

My rig is a Ford Econoline E350 Van. I like the van because I have worked at many locations within the city where a trailor setup would have been difficult to manuever. Good luck with your setup. I have a hydro tek hot water skid that is vented through the roof with a 275 gallon water tank. Back doors stay open when unit is running.

Thanx Ty,
I'm wanting to install an inverter to power a fan to blow the hot air out of the cab. Anybody done this and had it running off the PW, I'm assuming I would need a different battery

Court- lets see some pics

Does that tank eat up most room?

I have decent storage space in front of the tank on both sides, and at the rear. I will take a pic tmrrw. With the van, you get into the habit of traveling light, carrying just what is needed. Down side, horrible gas mileage because of the weight. Water tank is always emptied when traveling.

What is the weight with full tanks on the van? They don't look too big, but you don't have much to play with either.

Those are 64 Gal. each! Most jobs I have I can work all day on just hooking up the main service side water but every now and then I run into supply issues hence the second Hudson float valve I pointed out on the drivers side. Maybe one in 30 jobs I have to hook that one up. I have a spare 50 ft coiled up just incase.
