Big Guy trailer mounting??????

Get an eye bolt with the same thread size as the bolt that is currently on there... loctite a nut on the thread at the right depth for screwing in with a lock washer. This will give you a 'thumb screw' type of deal and allow you to fold handle up and down as needed. I'll post pictures later, I've got this on 3 of our big guys - saves my guys from looking for a wrench (and losing it!).

Fantastic idea.. yes pic please!

I asked them the last time I was over there if they would consider building them with a handle, knob type fitting to make folding easier.... The guy I spoke to didn't seem interested. There's a company on ebay selling a black handle for the big guy... This way is WAY less expensive, I think they were looking for around $20 per set.

Here is another idea.

If your ramp gate lowers (not welded up), you could make a bracket that is like 2 bars that would go over the top of the deck so the surface cleaner would only roll up so far up the ramp (when the ramp is down) and then you lift the ramp up and the brackets hold it in place so it does not fall off. You could also rig up another bracket to run a cable through to keep it locked so it is not stolen easily.

If you could weld, imagine a piece of flat stock about 16" to 20" long and then a piece going down about 6" to the other piece of flat stock on the bottom, kind of like a long skinny "U" shape, one on each side of the front castor wheel about 12" to 16" apart and secured to the ramp gate. Would not take much to make and depending on how wide your trailer is, you could probably fit 2 of the Big Guy's side by side. This would not add too much weight to the ramp gate.

Good luck.

Ive got a fantastic fabricator that does work on all of my trailers.. ( this is my only PW trailer )....... Same guy that made the cart for me..... He did some work on another trailer for me today......

Thats a friggin factastic idea... roll it on the ramp into a guide(s)..lock it .. fold the handle and lift the gate up.. He likes coming up with clever stuff..... and everything is always... ($80) lol Retired guy that tinkers with hotrods and has all the metal working gear.... just likes to tinker and work his mind!

Matt, this is a little off subject - but while your at it have your fabricator weld a male 3/8 plug and a male garden hose fitting some where on your railings where your reels are mounted. That way you can attach the female ends of your hoses to them when not in use. Seeing them hanging there drives me nuts lol.
You can drill holes and mount them yourself but welding them would be much easier/faster.

Not a big guy but just wanted to show a mounting option for other surface cleaners.

That is an excellent idea. I saw something similar (I think on Youtube) where someone just used nails mounted to connect the female ends

Maybe im retarded but i fold this up and manually loosen/tighten the stock bolts with my fingers. No wrench needed. Can't argue this is genius and would be much easier though. Thanks Steven.
