how much faster is a motorized surface cleaner?

Are you talking motorized arms, or riding surface cleaners? I have a rider, I like to pitch the bars more to speed up the rotation, and have had good results. In that manner, it is much faster. I tried to motorized the spray arms, and it did not work out as well as I had hoped.

When I had the Turbo Twister, running a 5.6gpm 3000psi machine, I could walk faster with the Turbo Twister than I could with the same machine and my Whisper Wash Classic.

The Classic is a 19 inch cleaning path, the Turbo Twister is a 36" cleaning path.

The factory that built the Turbo Twister burned and they never rebuilt as far as I know.

I did not have enough huge concrete areas to clean so I sold the Turbo Twister.

Hope this helps.

This is exactly what i was wondering thanks.

Ask Mike V if he has his up and running yet. He was building one a couple of months ago and said he was almost done. I like the idea of adjusting the nozzle so it's either flat(perpendicular) or a little bit facing towards the driveway, instead of away from it. I think you are losing cleaning power because the nozzles are basically being deflected off of the driveway in order to propel the bar instead of hitting the driveway head on like you do when you are wanding.

I just don't think it makes any real difference. The distance from the nozzle to the cement is pretty much the same and that's what matters, I think. If you want more power, run more water. But I would still like to see a side by side of surface cleaners.

I am sure a turbo twister surface cleaner will clean faster than a non motorized surface cleaner. but it also comes down to fatigue factor I have pushed the motorized surface cleaners and it takes way to much effort. You may clean faster for the first 2 hours but after that I'm running circles around you. For a garage hooked up to something to push it it would be great but not for what most of us do on a everyday basis.

Come on you wimp! Whats the problem with pushing around a HUNDRED pound surface cleaner??
