New to this power washing business

I'm currently looking into starting a pressure washing business in Washington state. I've been researching these forums for a while and have come across many wonderful ideas, but I still have questions. I've been reading about reclaiming water to be environmentally friendly, but what should be reclaimed and is OK to have a system that can disperse clean water out. What are some of the green chemicals that will clean the best? Or should I concentrate more on a basic setup. This is the system I have been looking into. http://www.landa.com/ViewCategories.aspx?Pid=1270

Welcome to the board! Jared, Is that your name? Set up your signature so we know. Use the search button on reclaims there are lots of threads. There are lots of guys here willing to help you out too. I wouldn't jump straight into the business with that machine. But to each their own. I believe in starting small and building from there. But some people have different strategies, and whatever works works.

Just make sure NO WATER goes down storm drains. Im sure the guys will join in and help you out, Good luck!

That is a lot of machine. I don't think that you need to start with something like that, either. Start with a basic unit . Learn to divert your flows, especially if you are doing store fronts. There are a lot of cheap and efficient ways to do water recovery that do not require you to spend thousands.

Welcome to the board!

What kind of work are you planning on getting into?

That is a lot of machine to be starting out with, what does something like that cost anyway?

EBC has been getting a lot of Buzz for being a great Environmentally friendly soap, that ACTUALLY WORKS!! Talk to Carlos he is on this board, he can find you a good distributor. Here is their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/envirobiocleaner

The landa ecos is runs about 25k. I want to start with homes, be eco friendly and move into commercial where I can sell the eco friendly idea. I especially looking at a landa unit even if I don't go with the ecos due to the fact where I live my choices are just hotsie and landa. The green issue is becoming very big where I live and I hope to sell myself into that market. I will definitely look into EBC and see what soaps they have.

For residential, if you really want to spend that much money, talk to Paul or Bill at the www.Powerwashstore.com . There are a ton of alternatives out there that can really provide you a better product, be environmentally sensitive, and be more operationally sound. You really don't need that, no matter how much the distributor is telling you it is the wave of the future.

Ohhh the "Green Issue" ....... I sure hope your clients get tingley legs when they see that Landa eco-beast rolling up behind a Prius! you could always call it "organic" and charge double? or.... "made from bio-gradable materials" ( as long as its not nuclear powered )--- since almost everything is bio-degradable

Thank you guys for the helpful info. I'll definitely give both of them a call this week.

So I got ahold of Bill at the power wash store. He's getting me a bid together. With shipping though I hope it's not too much. Is there anybody on the west coast that can build a good trailer?

Are you sett on a trailer? I am not sure what you plan to tow a trailer with but if its a truck powerwashstore has some very nice units that fit in the bed of a truck. The next piece of equipment I purchase will be one of them.

I don't have a personal truck so I'm thinking of starting with a truck then doing flatbed from there.

Thanks Carlos, I checked out Southside and they want $130 for 5 gallons and I checked out KEC and its only $108. I mean I know people need to make a living but thats quite the hike so I guess I'll be going with KEC. Still, EBC is quite the amazing product!
