weird soffit board

ran into this looking at a job today.
its a screen, like on a screen door.
I'm guessing I have to be careful with not getting water back there, right?

First, cover that camera and cable box. Second Downstream your mix on it as your walking. Let dwell. Then rinse while walking. The little bit of mix/water you get in there won't hurt and will dry rather quickly. Just don't stand or spray in one spot. Keep it moving.

Yes id be more scared of the camera..... use a 25 degree and no wand or 6 inch if you need to hold on...... It will keep you from getting too close.

thanks guys.
I charged more for extra liability and labor.
Explained why the extra charge and the dangers of not doing it carefully.
Waiting to hear back from her

bc the lowballer probably won't take the extra precautions

You've never seen those? A 1/4 of the houses we wash down here have soffits like that. I just spray off at an angle. They can be a pain sometimes cause dirt starts dripping off them and sometimes runs down either the wall or on the soffit itself. As for the camera, I've never once covered one. I just spray lightly around it. They SHOULD be weather proofed as far as the wiring. Never had a issue with one yet... ( Knock on my noggin. )

I charge extra for covering them.

The way your spraying that house in that video lets me know you are new to this so I will let you slide on that comment if directed at me.Its a very simple solution to an easy wash job I wouldn't have said anything about extra for this etc.Remember you are the professional act like it when dealing with your customers.

idk what comment you mean, but thank you for letting it slide.

nah, I'm kinda new, washed maybe 400 houses, and haven't seen it yet.
What benefits do they have from a homeowners aspect?
most of ours here have those little vents every so many feet

lady called back the next day and gave me the job.
Took you guy's advice and I believe everything came out just fine!
Thanks Doug, Matt, and Art!
It was different from my usual method for soaping and rinsing eves and was a bit more labor, I kinda overbid but hey, it was my 1st time washing a house like this

You didn"t over bid, You made good Money

it's a bidding game.
Sometimes you overbid, sometimes you underbid, most of the time, you're spot on.
This overbid helps even the scales for some of the underbids.
