Hi guys,
First I must say that the wealth of information and knowledge here is incredible. I am in the process of starting a part time pressure washing business with the primary focus being patios and driveways (concrete work).
I appreciate any input in regards to start up, as all of you have been there at some point.

My current plan is to market primarily residential concrete work at first, followed by some small commercial jobs and see what happens. But will obviously not turn down other work they may have.
Start with a cold water machine and surface cleaner ( I'm looking at about a 4 GPM machine,(getting some quotes on several machines)but have not made a purchase yet). I'm also waiting on an insurance quote.

I want to start small, and if the demand grows quickly, I'm prepared to grow with it, but will start as a one-man show!

Thanks for allowing me to be part of the site, and I am always open to suggestions or constructive criticism.

Also not quite sure how to do the "signature" thing.

just driveways and patios probably aint gonna cut it man.
I've made a lot of money doing residential concrete, but 95% of the time, I'm also washing the house.
If the customer wants both house and driveway washed, and you only wash driveways, they'll choose a company that does both.

Educate yourself on low pressure washing.
It's very simple once you get the hang of it.

Thanks for the reply Jeremy. I did anticipate that, and I am prepared to do houses as well. The reason I want to advertise the concrete work as the primary, is because that is typically a quicker job or 2 (if close)that I can pick up after work. House and concrete will most of the time be weekend work for me, which is ok for me. If the need is there, I'm willing to do it. I have done some low pressure washing in the past, and it is easy. I just didn't want to bite off more than I can chew right out of the gate, that's why I thought it may be a good idea to focus on one thing to start. Thanks again for the input!
