Why have I never thought of that!? I love it. What's the battery life of a segway? A quick google search came up with 12 or 24 miles depending on the model, but I wonder how that translates to hours with the extra weight of a surface cleaner and dragging hose.
 
I had this exact idea (or close to it) several years ago. If you think of something that is multipurpose that can handle different attachments I think this is it. Also I like the small footprint, total control and the way you can get into and out of small areas.

Congrats Daniel on seeing this through. I like it a lot. I bet with a little modification you could make it to attach to any surface cleaner you have if you really wanted to.
 
I would rather sit than stand, but that is just me being lazy. It is a great idea. I see the vacuum being a bit of a deal, too.
