12.5% SH Question ( ? stale)

Before you buy, I would ask to see the COA so you know how old it is, The last time I purchased a drum of old stuff, it was about 4 months old and hardly worked at all. That was the last purchase I made with them.

There are other distributors out there that move product so you don't get old stuff, sometimes you have to look a lot to find them.

Univar is 2.20 a gallon. thats with the drum. If you can get the 300 gallon tote it's only 2 a gallon but you have to have the tote back withing 60 days or they charge you

thanks derek

No minimum order here. Delivery is free if you order $500 or more and $75 delivery fee otherwise. Also, they can only deliver to a commercial address

They want to charge me $75 per invoice. $500 min order. I have commercial address. I've got an email back into the rep to work him a bit. $0.31 per pound. Trying to work that too

Also have a company here that has 14%, but they are $256 a drum!!

Hmm, pool stores that have know idea what sodium hypochlorite is.. Just drive around back of the store and see if there is a 1000 gallon container. Can't imagine a pool store that does not sell liquid chlorine.

I thought it was crazy too when I moved from FL to NC. Apparently, not enough people have pools around here for them to sell it before it goes bad. Can't even get the one gallon jugs of 10% at Home Depot or Walmart like you can back home.

Talked to the univar rep today. Apparently they are no longer carrying 12.5 in Florida. Only 10%.

I've looked high and low in the Tampa area and I can't seem to find 12% SH. I know its around because the roof guys use it. I am happy with the 10.5% when it's very fresh. It works good enough for algae/mold/mildew on driveways, pool cages and houses. When it starts to get stale/old you can really tell the difference and it makes cleaning difficult. Hope this super suds sucker alleviates the strength problem. Maybe its time to buy some more sodium hydroxide to amp up a weak mix.

Talk to Chris Tucker. He should know where to get good stuff there.

I get 55 gallon drums of 12.5% delivered to my shop for $145.00 I thought that was high compared to Florida prices per drum but after seeing the high prices in some of these posts I don't feel so bad.

Check all janitorial supply stores as well as local chemical supply companies. It's probably right there in your town.

Happy Birthday Josh.

I actually did ask Chris and he told me where to look, I just forgot the names of the places. It was in a post about two months ago, but for some reason I can't find it now.
