The $200k Barrier

There are very few variables throughout the country that affect everyone's ability to profit the same. Local Taxes, bleach costs, gas prices...those being the chief culprits. Which means if everyone ran their business with the same principles in mind and made the same gross revenue, the net profit would correlate pretty closely.

That said, you need a baseline goal you wish to achieve before you can chase it. $200k for 1 truck/2 guys is a pretty solid goal.

AHHH no I am pretty sure I would be pretty happy with a million bucks in the bank.

The only thing that sucks is, the higher your gross revenues, it seems like the smaller your net profit seems to be.
 
I aint really looking too get huge, I am looking to make all my money in 9 months and take the winter off. 80 to 100k net should do it for me.That being said, 200k should be doable

In this market, those numbers are easily achievable.
 
What is the population in Huston and surrounding areas? I Net its huge. You really don't need to much of it to make those numbers.
 
4-6 million depending on what you consider Houston and surrounding areas.

A fvck ton to be precise. And our climate makes it ripe.
 
It just depends on what you're washing, your sales techniques, and what market(s) you're going after.

Keep plugging away, and you'll get to where you need to be.

The key is to be CONSISTENT.
 
Ya I hear ya. I love doing this. I really like working for myself. Just a little harder when the population is less than 150K in a 50 mike radius. I feel confidant that over time I will get to where I want to be.

Well, I've always done a little bit. I've incorporated a bit of cleaning into our pool and lawn service but only with current customers. I don't chase the business.

After chasing jobs for 5 years I decided I'll only own a business that has recurring contract work. We're up to 6 trucks serving 200+ customers weekly and biweekly now. Although I do expect to incorporate more PW into my services next spring.
 
All I'm saying, is I hope being in this business teaches me what you guys have learned. I'd love make it to a 200k mark. Anyone who wants to take it upon themselves to get me there, I am.. any takers? lol

How long you guys in the business before you really started getting things moving? Shoot, I been 2 months into this thing and I love it. Consistent jobs but nothing near 200k... Yet.

Also, not everybody is year around. We are on a 8 month season around here, where you guys in FL are pretty much year round. Add to this the fact that each person's idea of "success" might be different. Some want big cash flow, others may be happy working less because they want a better quality of life and want to spend more time with their families so they earn enough to be comfortable. Others want to work 7 days a week and build an empire. Whatever makes you happy.
