2" Allflo Allum. Diaphragm Pump $500 Should I buy?

Should I buy this pump for roof cleaning? I currently do not market roof cleaning as much as I should because the system I am running is so unreliable. It is a 12v twin pump system and from the beginning it has been trouble for me. The main problem when it is working is the distance. I find myself have to walk a one story roof to get proper coverage and I hate that. I would like to switch to a water dragon but I would like some opinions on diaphragms first. No more 12v over heating and distance problems.

NEVER buy any metal air diaphragm pump, unless it is Hastelloy or Titanium. Aluminum is NOT good for the s*** we spray. Plus, a 2" pump is way overkill, and unless you have an air compressor the size of a refrigerator, you will not get the flow it is capable of.
Gas Powered diaphragm pumps have proven to be very unreliable and leak prone, stick with air.

Thank you. I was hoping you reply. I know you use diaphrams. There wouldn't happen to have one of those 499 diaphragm specials still around that you were talking bout a few weeks ago huh?

Our gas powered udor pump has not leaked and has been working flawlessly. Like anything, properly maintain it and it will treat you right.

No, but I wish there was more of them for sale, I would have bought every one. I got one though!

I have one more of the $499 Hastelloy pumps I was selling beyond the one I am using...and I am keeping it for ME!

A 3/4" or 1" AODD pump in Kynar is your best bang for the buck. You can be up and running for somewhere in the $2-2.5K range if you can find a good deal on a 18-25 CFM truck mount compressor. The added productivity quickly makes that back. Four $600 jobs now would fund it cash flow wise.,

I bought one of these truly awesome pumps for myself from Kevin, and would have bought more, had Kevin allowed it.
Kevin wanted to "spread the wealth around", so everyone could experience what a 1" air pump with a big air compressor was like. He limited the sale of one pump ONLY, per person.
It is hard to believe that these pumps once sold for over 6,000.00!
They are designed to last a lifetime, pretty much, no matter what you pump.

Chris, do you have your pump up and running yet? The performance that Kevin's experiencing is stunning!

No, I am waiting to build a new truck first, but I have had these large pumps in the past, so I know what to expect Ted :)
