Some stain advice

Hi folks! I could use some advice but I would say mostly opinion. I am going to cut my teeth so to speak on my in-laws deck. I have done it before. But it has been a bit. Clean, neutralize/brighten, stain. The opinions I am looking for are about stains. What do you think are the best stains. I would really like to stick with one brand. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi John! There are a lot of good stains out there. Just remember they are all different and some are better suited for certain situations than others. Also your technique and personal preference will play a big part in the stain or stains you learn to love. Everyone knows I love the Baker's Gray Away, but other guys have great results with Armstrong Clark, TWP and even Ready Seal. If you are looking for a light color transparent or water-based product, check out the Wood Restoration Plus. I just got a chance to try it out yesterday and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Get some samples and try them all. Then learn everything you can about them. What it takes to get amazing results with each product is completely different with each product. Application rates, spraying, brushing, re-coat times, etc... will all vary with each product.

Is it true we can not get bakers in Cali?

Shane would be able to answer that question. Give him a call.
I would think it's good to go in Cali, because I put it in my coffee all the time ( twitch twitch )
with no ill affect.
