Well I tested it a bit ago and I was really shocked! With my 8 GPM pump, no proportioners and a 4050 nozzle I sucked a full 5 gallon bucket dry in 2 minutes & 10 seconds. I'm ready to kill some bad 'dew! So if my math is right that's about 17:5 or about 3.4 to 1. I think I'll be happy with that!
you can't downstream with an xjet attached. it will create too much pressure on downstream side of the ds injector. By adding enough wand and the #50 nozzles the water backs up between the xjet and #50 nozzles to let you basically soft wash with it instead of blasting with it. Too short a wand or just a pipe nipple and the water still shoots straight out the nozzle without really softening it up.
Well with an 0050 tip I was able to shoot about 55 or 60 feet across. I haven't really tried straight up yet. I like the jrod with real fan tips better than the adjustable reed type nozzle. I get a lot more precise control of the fan and not all that misty drippy overspray that always manages to find its way back on me.
I guess you could but I think the design of the xjet with a larger hose and barb and no check valves is just going to pull a lot stronger mix.
Try it and let us know. I had an xjet mjet laying around unused for five years because I didn't like the pressure associated with it. Now when I need strong chemical mixes I love it.
I still do regular down streaming from the house reel 90% of the time but when I need the extra umph I've got this and a 12 gallon bucket on a two wheeler I fill about half full when I need it. It's just something I had and tried and like. Simple and it works. I've looked at the induction pumps. I've never had a diaphram pump very reliable nor last a full season.
