Salt on windows.

Hello all. Great forum. Can someone help me with a question please ?
I work near the shore and recently started doing windows after many requests. The problem I'm running into is the salt buildup on many of the windows is so tough to clean. You can literally scratch it with your fingernail And it won't come off! I'm trying to use extensions and stay away from ladders. Anyone have any ideas?

Good point hot water. Right now I only have a cold water machine.
I googled it and found an article on using straight vinegar and dwell time. Going to give it a shot this morninh

You can also prescrub with a stripwasher. Vinegar will work as will other chemicals or even soap with a prescrub and dwell time. If you need give me a call and I can walk you thru it.

Turns out the windows weren't too bad and never used the vinegar. I anticipate using it today on an oceanfront. Mister squeegee what is the number to call sir?
