Are the threads different between the two. I want to adapt my IBC totes to PVC supply line to my pump. Is there a different type that mates the two together or are they the same. Just wanting a screw on fitting.

I have a tote that has some very strange threads, not standard pipe thread, coarse or fine thread, it is just different.
I was looking for a piece of rubber hose to clamp over the outlet of the valve and on the other side, over a piece of pvc with threads inside it so then I would have pipe threads and can plumb it to what I need.

Like mentioned the tote will have special threads. if it has the valve installed on the tote they are usually standard thread on the outlet.

You can find the right ball valve for your tote with a little digging on the net. I think mine was around $53. If you have a brand name on the tote, that will help you start looking.
