There are some logistical issues she is going to have to work out with that size boom. Also, it may be cost prohibitive unless we can work out an effective ratio of filter media to filler. I spent some time on the phone with the manufacturer trying to find out the answers. She is buying directly from the factory and the cost on that stuff is so high that boom would barely be affordable. The fish shaped booms he was selling for $25-35 cost more than $39 in materials alone.

I know there is an answer. It lies in configuring it to maximize contact with the filtration media without wasting any of it

Have a little patience as I help her work this out.

What about other suppliers or manufacturers? There are a lot of them out there.

Most of the oil only socks use polypropylene, what other additives are in there for the rest of the stuff it catches?

There are no other manufacturers for this. It is one of a kind.
