Can't go wrong with sodium percarbonate based cleaner, followed by brightener/neutralizer with oxalic acid

This is exactly correct. I would also recommend applying a penetrating oil based preservative such as TWP 200 series after the cleaning. If there is already a finish on it, I would strip the failing finish using a liquid stripper and pressure washing, neutralize and brighten, let dry, sand any residual preservative and preserve w/ oil based product.

If you do put on a maintenance coat be sure to use exactly what's already on there. I wouldn't recommend mixing then up. If you market these correctly and do quality work you can make great money. Ten grand for a house is not uncommon

I looked at it today, no pics dammit, he just wants it cleaned, lower levels have been washed by homeowner with tsp and household bleach annd look pretty good upper are dull and faded,

It is not common to see mahogany siding. There are many factors to consider along with how to approach a job like this . How it's constructed , vertical , horizontal , tungue n groove , thickness of the wood . Thats just the beginning !

Hi..Thanks for the input.I have been on the fence but with all the different things to worry about and this guy seems picky i think I'm gonna pass on this one till I can get more experience.
Thanks again

just wanted to bumps this because of Jim's last comment.

Sometimes the best jobs are ones where you just tell a customer "I have no idea how to do this" and the picky customer turns out to be a geeky one that want's to watch the whole process as you test and figure it out.

My 2 cents is if you're going to walk away you have nothing to loose throwing out a statement and asking for time and material.
