Any thing you can do to prevent spider webs??

I was at a customers house today and she asked me the oddest questions.

She told me every morning she comes outside and cleans spider webs off her white vinly under her porch. She says it's annoying and asked me if there is ANYTHING I can use to prevent the spiders from continuing to build webs in the corners of her vinly. Seems far fetched but told her I'd look into it...

Any thoughts?

Tell her not to leave the porch light on. No light = no bugs flying around = no spiders building webs to catch them.
