Hello everyone, hope all is well and everybody's having a great season. Check it out, new wrap for the truck, The only thing I would have done diff would be to change the color of the phone number to blue, but when you looked at it on the computer before it was printed the image behind the number looked a lot darker. Oh well you live and learn, Tell me what you think.

Looks awesome and your spot on with your critique thats the onyl think i could think of too
Yeah that riveted metal image looked a lot darker on the computer so the white stood out, the whole thing really looked a little diff when it was blown up on the truck, fortunately everything looked great except the number. It turns heads for sure, should pay for itself pretty soon.

Not enough contrast, can't easily see (read) the phone number or any of the text. Background images make the entire thing way too busy. Did the vinyl shop do the design?

Here's an example of good contrast. What's the phone number on this truck?

Yeah I know, but I did the best I could with what I had, I designed it cause the sign shops up here in West Virginia aren't exactly wrap savvy. If I knew you were into this stuff would have asked you to help me. But I learn from my mistakes so the trailer will look better when I get it done. All this design stuff I do myself from tshirts to flyers to my website. I learn something new all the time.

I think it looks really good. You could always have them decal over that number to get it to stand out if it's an issue for you. Maybe even make it reflective.

That's great that you take an active part in your own success. Keep up the good work and I'm always here if you need some help.

Ask your wrap guy if he can do an overlay over the phone #...I have seem a lot of overlays that you can't even tell were there.

A staggered overlay, or smaller overlay should make it pop.

It does get attention but too busy and too hard to read.

Overlays might help, do the important info in overlays but keep it so it does not look busy.

Pretty or eye-catching or cool looking does not always get the phone ringing and most designers don't understand that as they are used to making something cool, trying to win awards or trying to top other designers' ads when they should be working on something that gets the message out and get your phone ringing. It does not have to be elaborate, just get the message out there and make the phone ring.

Just like post cards or flyers, if the phone does not ring, try a new design or layout or different message until the phone starts ringing then it has done it's job for you and is making you money.

I'm thinking about getting my next truck wrapped but I'm not sure. I might just go with the same lettering as my current truck. I am however thinking about adding a sleeper to my next truck so I can pull over and take a nap when I get tired.

Vince, if your current lettering on your truck is working good, getting you calls and work then I would replicate it on the new truck.

A sleeper is not a bad idea, especially if you drive long distances for work, I wish I had one when I did a lot of driving for jobs, I just pulled over and took naps.

With the sleeper that gives you some more realestate for more lettering or even before/after pictures, more good stuff to get the phone ringing.
