How do you deal with a customer who wants to just do bit's and pieces?

All good advice. I'm still in the bracket of work is work, partial or full job, as long as it's a fair price/reasonable client.

Knock on a few doors, See if you can get another job or two in the area...make the partial a stop in route, still charge your job min. Be careful that partial doesnt actually require additonal work inorder to accomplish. I had a client that only wanted to clean aluminum awning on three sides of the house. I explained why I would have to charge for a house wash. By the time I soaped the awnings and risnsed, I would have to rinse soap that ran down the side of the house and windows. Client said she didnt think about it that way, and gladly paid for the wash, which included awnings for free...($220 for a 1500sq ft rancher/awnings included). Sometimes you gotta sweeten the pot ya dig...Good luck!
