We are dealing with an all Indian board (im not prejudice) at a 40 bldg townhome wash project and halfway through they tell us we should be using ladders and we are doing it all wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stopped our project today until we have a meeting. Well we have a signed contract spelled out for them how we perform soft wash cleaning. What would you do? We are not stopping we have a very tight schedule to keep. frustrating as h--L.

I went through the same thing in July.

1. You aren't working hard enough for them.

2. They want to see CREWS of people busting ass on ladders hand scrubbing the entire joint.

3. They thought that price was going to be a boatload of hired labor. You're being efficient and in their eyes you're getting one over on them.

And it is cultural. "getting one over" is for real in Indian culture and they truly think you are getting one over on them. Now you're at a point where they are likely going to find any real or imagined fault they can.

I realized that having additional charges and fee's for petty crap helps to avoid things like this...

If someone wastes my time? Well guess what...

I'm CHARGING YOU FOR IT!!!

I've recently started doing that after getting burned on another job... Guy asks my crew to be there Wednesday at 4pm. I call him at 3 to confirm... And he says he forgot. Scrambles to get things together... then realizes we can't do the work because he didn't move anything out of the way... Wasted 4 or 5 man hours and from me scheduling other work.

Its all in our contract. Anything that hinders our schedule, strikes, deliveries, other contractors, lawn maintenance anything besides rain will be charged our daily rate. Got that covered. My team will be starting back up tomorrow and pushing through till its finished. Property manager is on our side and will sign the check. She loves our work. Mohamad said he will stand in our way. Looks like he will be getting very wet tomorrow.

That's fantastic man. I wish I would've learned beforehand, but it's allllllllllll good.

I hope you finish and make some good dough!

I'm pretty bold when it comes to this kind of stuff. At the end they would have to find fault in our job performance not to pay us. So we motor on. They see our crew doing 24 buildings in 5 days and think its way too fast. They cant find any missed or dirty areas so I told them about our policies and procedures page, which they signed, about delays and daily rates. LOL they said they will allow us to finish. Allow us?

Had a meeting today with the HOA president and his idea was to see guys on lifts blasting every square inch. They had this done 3 years ago and that's what they did, they also shredded a lot of screens and blew off almost 40 shutters. Non of this is happening with our process. By the time our meeting was over we got a signed contract to re clean all 40 bldg in 3 years. Howbout dat! Boom!

That's one heck of a "Thank you, come again." Haha I couldn't help it
