I have spent the last 14 years in the high tech software (and hardware) arena in sales and in management, and my sales method is consultative. I sold both to large commercial accounts and also to the Government (Federal, State and Local).
I have done some Marketing consulting, built web sites (that high tech software experience paid off), and given guest lectures at local community colleges a couple times on the topics of Change Management and Motivation.
Since 8th grade I have wanted to be a writer. (Marketing seemed a more grounded choice than trying to be a novelist) So... it's pretty natural for me to want to combine the love I have for our business and the love I have for writing. In high school I was the advertising editor for the school newspaper. That was a blast. It's one reason I enjoyed BlastMaster so much.
I knew you must have a business/sales background. I too, have a Accounting & Marketing degree and have always love business in general. This forum is great - a lot of good ideals from the members on this board. I look forward to reading your post in the future.
