Job Codes/ Scheduling/ Accounting

Hey guys,

Up until now I have been piecemealing a system for accounting using Gnucash, scheduling using google calendar, and nothing for job codes yet(I have a mental note on what types of jobs cost me what, etc.)

What I am looking to do is find a system that when I enter the data for the paid invoice into accounting I can associate it with respective job codes (i.e. if they had windows cleaned and a driveway washed I could associate it with those codes wc1 and dw1 or something). With this I would like a variable like WC1 to correlate to a 6 month schedule, where when the variable and date of invoice are entered it automatically sets a reminder to call that customer back 6 months from that date and schedule the next cleaning.

Anyone know of anything like this? Pardon if it's been discussed, can't seem to find anything about it.

You can invoice with job codes or names in QB. We do. As far as calling customer you need some type of CRM. We use Sales Force. If you are looking for an all in one software you can find them. But i have been there and done that and i prefer just using:

Google Calendar
Sales Force
Quick Books

Good luck! Let us know what works for you.

This is the route I have been contemplating. I feel like there has to be a tie in between quickbooks and google calendar as open source as google is with their API that would sync up with this job codes situation.

I like the ideas of ServiceCEO but I dont like the pricing and demo in person stuff. Just give me access and let me determine for myself if you are worth my money.
