ZEP Rust Remover in a Pinch?

Although I have yet to place my first order of F9, it is on my to-do list. I just haven't had the need for it yet, and working on a shoe-string budget, it's hard to justify extra supplies until needed. But trust me...soon.

Having said that, has anyone ever used Zep rust remover in a pinch? If so, does it suffice for smaller jobs?

The reason I ask.... today we closed on our new house (woohoo!!!), and as I was going through some of the things the previous owners left behind, I found this brand new bottle of Zep. it claims to remove rust from concrete. I would hate to throw it, so I though laybe if a residential client had a small rust stain or fertilizer stain it might work?

Anyone ever try it? Maybe it can be my emergency plan until I can get some F9.

Never tried it. Would like to hear what other guys think. The only product I use besides F9 is Super Iron Out from home depot. If there is no F9 around Super Iron Out works great! Let us know...

I used zep house wash on my mom's house a few years ago, before doing any research on proper cleaning methods and before joining forums. It was an overpriced dish soap. Can't speak for their other products though

Check the ingredients. F-9 is definitely the best, but nothing is less expensive than oxalic acid and it does a great job once you learn how to use it.
