First apartment complex done!

Just washed this apartment complex, I have another 27 building complex from the same property management company in the next couple weeks!
I averaged 6 buildings a day using an x-jet and 9.5 gpm and one helper pulling hose and mixing soap for me.
Do you guys have any tips to speed this up? Or is that a decent time to wash apartments? erlands point.jpg

Depends if you climbed up to those balconies to make sure they were rinsed well or not. If you did, than you are blazing fast, if not it sounds about right.

Get a TOAST (the original authentic shooter tip) from Guy blackmon and downstream and that will speed it up for you. IMO

I already ordered a shooter tip from guy I was hoping I would have it for this job but it didn't come in time. I will have to play with my downsteamer, I haven't even hooked it up yet. Nope didn't climb the balconies the management didn't want me to, I only had to climb above the stairs where the roof drops down. And for my high gpm is just a 4/4000 tied to a 5.5/3500

Nice job. 2 questions:
-how did you tie the two machines together?
-where do I get a remote to turn the down stream on/off?

Hi Charlie. Russ Johnson from Southside equipment, puts together a siamese kit that lets you put two machines together. It's basically two whip lines and a bunch of fittings. You have to have the right unloaders on your machine, but you can tie two or more machines together and you will get the advantage of more gpm and the psi will be whatever the lowest psi machine you are using. Russ also has remotes I believe.

Congratulations Ben. Also, this is a great thread.

For time comparison purposes I thought I'd post a 10-unit complex (2 buildings) that we did last week. It was filthy dirty.

CREST II.JPG

Had to climb all the decks (wood) and clean them on top and bottom. Get up on the roofs. Clean all the railings. Clean the tot lot and fencing. Clean dumpster pad fencing.

Just goes to show how every project is different.

Three men. One soaping, one rinsing, and one ground support. It took all day.

It came out great and the PM is giving us another 96-units.

Charlie, I use a x-jet... no downstream yet, but my understanding is that if you change your tip to a higher pressure tip for rinsing the downstreamer wont pull soap. or you could have your helper put the hose in a bucket of water.
Rapid, that looks awesome! it looks a little taller than the buildings I did, did you use a shooter tip?

Don't mean to hijack your thread, I do use my downstreamer In that manner. Higher pressure to stop the soap, there are times I need to rinse with the soaper nozzle however. Some sort of remote would be a huge time saver. This is the first I have heard of something like that.
